Installing a Brake Controller on a 2014 Ford E-350 Van
Question:
I have found the trailer connector located behind the dash and rerouted it down to where the brake controller will go. My question is do I need more than the brake controller unit. I have seen several adapters on line. I assume the plug found under the dash is the other end of the rear plug. There has to be some way to get the turn signals and parking lights connected to this plug. None of the vidios cover a 2014 van.

If your 2014 Ford E-350 Van came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector then all you would need is the brake controller and the wiring harness. The harness you referenced, # 3034-P, is correct for your van and Tekonsha brake controllers such as the P2 # 90885.
With a factory installed 7-Way the wiring for the trailer lights is already present.
If you have a factory installed 4-Way connector at the back of the van then you will still use # 3034-P but there is a little more to the installation. You will also need item # 37185 to complete your wiring.
The brake (blue) wire will need to be manually run from the brake controller back to the plug in the rear. So instead of it plugging into the vehicle that blue wire would be removed from the plug. Then you would attach one end of wire # 10-1-1, sold by the foot, to it and run it under the van to the blue wire on # 37185. The brake controller power supply and brake pedal wires are already run.
A 12 volt "hot lead" from the battery will also require installation if necessary. If your trailer does need 12 volt power then instead of using # 10-1-1 I recommend # 10-2-1, also sold by the foot. I recommend about 25 feet of wire. I have linked a video that might help some.
If the van does not have any trailer connector then then first step is to install a 4-Way, # 118551. Then you would need installation kit # ETBC7 to add a 7-Way and hardwire in a brake controller. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
