Replacement Motor and Gear for Lippert Coach RV Steps
Question:
THE COACH I RECENTLY PURCHASED HAD A COACH STEPS ELECTRIC STEP. IT WORKED PERFECTLY WHEN I PURCHASED IT BUT IT SUDDENLY STRIPPED OUT THE FAIL SAFE DOWELS INSIDE THE GEAR BOX, TURNING THEM TO DUST. A FRIEND GAVE ME AN OLD MOTOR THAT HAD DOWELS IN IT THAT I USRD TO REPAIR MY BOX. IT WORKED PERFECTLY FOR A FEW DAYS AND MALFUBCIONED AGAIN. IM WONDERING WHATS CAUSING THE SYSTEM TO SEEMINGLY RUN LONGER THAN IT SHOULD AND STRIP THE DOWELS. I SUSPECT A GROUNDING PROBLEM?

A bad motor in your Lippert Coach step could be causing the gears to strip out. Most likely that is the problem. For a replacement motor you would want the part # LC301695.
If you have a single or double step the correct replacement gear is the part # LC301696.
