Helper Springs for a 2007 Ford F-250 4x4 with Overload Springs

Question:

Question about the factory overload spring on a 2007 Ford F-250 Super duty. To verify, the factory overload spring is the single curved type spring above the rest of the springs? Need to ensure I order right ones. Also, I have a 4x4, does this matter which product to choose? I tow a 12,300 dry 5th wheel and was considering the SSA13 product. Will this item prevent the sag? Thank you for any additional information regarding this product and to ensure I order the right one. Does this kit come with all hardware? Thank you very much

On a truck that has overload springs, such as your 2007 Ford F-250, the overload springs could be on the top or bottom of the stack. It is often a smaller spring, yes, and it is not necessarily bound to the other springs.

If the overload springs are on the top, like in the video I have linked showing installation, you can use # SSA22. For a model that has bottom overload springs you would use # SSA13 but this seems to be less common. I have also linked the instructions for each of these kits for you. Both will fit 4x4 models.

The SuperSprings will engage before the factory suspension so it will help with sag as well as vehicle stability in general.

Another option that will work with or without overload springs is the Timbren helper springs, # TFR250SDF. I have linked a video showing installation and a help article on Timbren systems for you.
