Will Removing Spacer Improve Ride Quality with Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement

Question:

I installed this kit over the weekend in a 2015 Ram 2500 Power Wagon, I used the 1 inch spacer and they sit about 1/2 inch from the axle. I have noticed over bumps or dips these do hit the axle and make for a stiff rear for sure. Should I remove 1 inch spacer for more of a stock ride quality? Will they soften at least a little over time? Im going to add a leveling kit to the front and 35inch tires, my fear is if I remove spacer when towing with leveling kit will I be back to the rear sagging again? Also with spacer in and leveling kit added will they basically be sitting on axle at that point?

It is typical to have approximately 1/2 inch of space between the bottom of the bumper and the axle. Removing the spacer will help to improve the ride quality.

With the spacer gone, the distance increases to 1-1/2 inches, and will improve ride quality by giving the axle more room to move over bumps before contacting the bumper. However, by removing the spacer to improve ride quality, you will experience more sagging than if you keep the spacer installed.

The # TDR2500D jounce springs are not designed to soften over time.

It is hard to determine how much the leveling kit will effect the space between the rear axle and Timbren System # TDR2500D.
