Replacement Brake Assemblies, Drums and Bearings for 2007 Extreme Megalite 19LT Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2007 Extreme Megalite 19LT with 3,500 LB axles. I want to replace the brake assemblies with never adjust assemblies, bearing, and all associated parts. Can you tell me what part #s and quantities I will need? Thanks,

For new brake assemblies, I'd recommend the etrailer.com 10 inch Self Adjusting assemblies, part # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left side and # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right. For each assembly, you'll need 4 nuts, part # 6-17 and 4 lock washers, part # 5-8.

Closely examine the armature surface of your existing brake drums (inside surface that the brake magnet rides against). If the surface is pitted or grooved, I'd recommend replacing the hub/drum so it doesn't prematurely wear the magnets on the bake assemblies.

3500 lb axles commonly use the L68149 inner and L44649 outer bearing. A wheel bolt pattern on 5 lug on a 4-1/2 inch bolt circle is most common. If this is the case with your trailer, you can use the # AKHD-545-35-K hub drum, which includes the bearings, races, grease seal, grease cap and lug nuts. You'll want to examine your current bearings to confirm that you have the L68149 inner and L44649 outer bearing.

If you just need the bearings, and you confirm that your hub uses the bearings mentioned above, use the # BK2-100 bearing kit. Each kit includes one inner bearing and race, one outer bearing and race, one grease seal, a Cotter pin and a tang washer. You'll need one bearing kit per wheel.

If your bearings or wheel bolt pattern is different that what I've mentioned above, let me know and I'd be happy to make other recommendations for you.
