Trailer Hitch for Accessories that Fit a 2 Inch Hitch for a 2013 Ford C-Max
Question:
I have several attachments bike carrier, cargo carrier that have 2inch tube mounts. I know there are adapters to go from 1 1/4 to 2 but they add a spacer which is undesirable. Arent there any hitches with native 2inch receiver tube???

There are several hitch options but there likely will not be any 2 inch trailer hitches for the 2013 Ford C-Max. The classes of hitches for any given vehicle are usually based on that vehicle's capability. In this case the Ford C-Max is not rated for any sort of towing so it would have a very low capacity.
So what that means is that there are only Class I and II hitches available for the vehicle and you would have to use an adapter like you mentioned such as # HTAD.
When using an adapter though it reduces the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. So if you went with the most popular hitch, # C12092, the tongue weight capacity would go from 350 pounds down to 175 pounds when using an adapter.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or car go carrier) per their warranty requirements.
