Question:
2001 Chev 2500HD crew cab short bed diesel. Have Tommy Gate G2 installed. Need to know the from the under side of the C frame channel on the truck to the top of the projected receiver for the various 16000# + TW hitches.

We have five Class V hitch options for the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with 6-1/2 foot bed; all can be seen on the link provided.
Several of these are TorkLift dual-receiver hitches that would almost surely NOT be compatible with your Tommy Gate so I have taken the requested measurement on the other three hitches from Curt and B&W. Note that Curt offers both 2-inch and 2-1/2-inch receivers for your truck. Part # C15302 is a 2-inch and part # C15703 is a 2-1/2-inch.
The following are the distances from the bottom of the hitch mounting flange to the top of the receiver tube.
Curt # C15302 = 2-1/2-inches
B&W # BWHDRH25182 = 2-5/8-inches
Curt # C15703 = 5-inches
