Recommended Load Range D Radial 14 Inch Tire For Trailer

Question:

I have a 27foot travel trailer that currently has 205/75/14 load C tires on it. Im about 6500 pounds loaded. Trailer is only 3 years old and Im getting ready to put my 3rd set of tires on it. I keep blowing tires every year. They came with a load C tire and would like to move up to a load D tire. Will I have any problems with a 215/75/14? While out of town last week, I had to buy 2 Marathons 205/75/14 from Walmart to get me back home. So now I need 2 more tires before my next trip.

We do offer a 205/75-14 trailer tires and 215/75-14 tires that will work well for you.

For a 215/75-14 tire I recommend the Taskmaster ST215/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire, part # TTWTRTM2157514D. This Load Range D tire has an 8 ply rating and has a maximum load capacity of 2,200 lbs at 65 psi.

The 205/75-14 tire I recommend is the Karrier Radial Trailer Tire, part # AM10235. This is a load Range D tire with a load capacity of 2,200 lbs at 75 psi. This tire will fit rims that measure 14 x 5, 14 x 5-1/2, 14 x 6, and 14 x 6-1/2 inches. These tires also have an 8 ply rating.

You should always match the tires on your trailer to prevent overloading or overheating.
