Goodyear Endurance or Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 Tire for Boat Trailer at Higher Highway Speeds

Question:

I am trying to decide which boat trailer tires I need. m or n speed rating with d load. 205/75/14, is the endurance superior to the Kendra in that size? The reason I ask is I can only get the kendra with wheel package but if you say the endurance is superior I will have you put together another custom wheel and tire package. the boat is just a 22 ft. bay boat with large outboard. I do tend to drive above 78 for 3 to 4 hrs. to go to ocean. so I will need a aluminum wheel for corrosion

In terms of speed rating the Goodyear Endurance ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire is certainly superior to the Kenda Karrier # AM10235, as it features an 87 mph maximum speed (compared to 81 mph on the Kenda). Based on your question, where it seems like you regularly dip into the 80's on the highway on the way to the ocean, this superior speed rating alone might be enough to make a difference for you. Otherwise, they are both good tires and both have 5 out of 5 ratings from our customers.

For an aluminum 14" wheel that will work great with this tire I recommend the HWT Hi-Spec # AM22327, which features a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of 14" aluminum wheels that you can look through as well.
