Can Base Plates And Front Hitch Be Installed At The Same Time On 1989 Chevrolet K1500 Pickup
Question:
Will I be able to install the Road master base plates for a tow bar and the front mount hitch on my 89 Chevy K1500 4wd extended cab p/u at the same time? I need the base plates for the tow bar and the front mount hitch for my winch. The tow bar base plates have priority as I will be flat towing the p/u behind my motor home.

The mounting holes used to install the Curt Front Hitch, part # 31042 on your 1989 Chevrolet K1500 truck are the same hole needed for the installation of the Roadmaster Base Plates, part # 131-8.
You would not be able to have both installed at the same time because of this interference. I have attached the installation instructions for both the 31042 and the 131-8 you can check out.
