Looking for 4.80-12 Tires for Jet Ski Trailer

I need 4.80-12 tire for my jetski trailer. Are they still made? What's the equivalent metric size?

Expert Reply:

Actually, 4.80-12 tires are still manufactured and we carry them. We sell the tires only, or the wheel/tire combo with the tire mounted on a wheel with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern or a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

If you click the link I provided, you can see our available tires and wheel/tire combos in that size. If you're getting a wheel/tire, be sure to choose the wheel that matches the bolt pattern of your existing wheels. I'll link you to an FAQ article that shows how to determine your wheel bolt pattern. You'll need to choose a tire that has an equivalent or higher load range than what you currently have. A load range B has a 785 lb capacity per tire at 60 psi, while a load range C has a 990 lb per tire capacity at 90 psi. To maximize tire life and safety, it's crucial to keep your trailer tires fully inflated to the pressure listed on the tire sidewall, as opposed to passenger vehicle tires that will have an acceptable range.
