How do you remove the rear bumper cover and impact strips on a 2005 Mercedes E320 4matic?

Curt trailer hitch # C11744 is not a fit for your 2005 Mercedes E-320. Curt trailer hitch # C11701 will fit. The instructions which I have linked for you state to unbolt the fascia tabs from the body. If they are true bolts then using the appropriate wrench would suffice. If they are more like clips I recommend a trim panel remover tool such as # PT73HJ to gently pry tabs.

I spoke with my contact at Curt and he informed me that the Curt Hitch part #C11701 would fit your 2008 Mercedes Benz E-320 diesel as the only models it does not fit are the Sport package.
