Perfect for light-duty towing, this custom, vehicle trailer hitch receiver features fully welded, gloss powder coated steel construction. Drawbar sold separately.The hitch was shipped in a box that was eight times too large for it, wrapped in packing paper and undamaged. All needed hardware was included. The instructions for removing my vehicle's bumper (2001 Mercedes E320) were missing a lot of steps, so I searched online for videos to figure it out -- this made the installation time much longer than 80 minutes. The installation directions specified that the bottom holes of the rear-facing hitch plate should be centered at 1/2" above the bottom lip of the rear panel. I followed this measurement exactly and the end result is a perfectly placed hitch which is flush with the bottom edge of the re-installed bumper -- neither too low, nor too high. I torqued all bolts/nuts according to specifications and the hitch feels very solid and sturdy. Overall I'm extremely happy with how clean and tucked-away it looks after installation. I mounted my bike rack and there's no sway or wobbling. High-quality hitch that's perfectly made for my vehicle.
Mine arrived with the upper left metal mounting face leg bent back a little. Damaged by a careless shipping handler I'm sure. It was easy to bend back with my bench vice and mild pressure, but something to check before you mount. Getting the bumper off my 98 MB E300 was much easier than i thought but one thing to watch out for: with the inner trim piece of the trunk removed, i closed the trunk to check my centerline alignment and found it didnt want to open again. That trim piece depresses a switch on the trunk lid and without the trim, no switch, and the car thinks theres a trunk fault and wont open! Use your key, turn counter-clockwise, then push in to release. Other than that, the receiver was a breeze to install. I'd like to see a little more substantial mounting to the vehicle, but then again I'm towing less than 1500lbs.

It tucks up to the car nice and snug which has resulted in almost zero contact with the pavement when pulling inout of steep drives. Also the coating is as shiny as the day I installed it with zero corrosion to the mounting hardware. Im very happy with this hitch receiver.
Bought this Curt trailer hitch for my Mercedes and it has proven to be great quality. Very happy with the result. Installation was not that difficult and the fit was perfect.
installed fine with the instructions. I haven't used it in a while but it's all good for my uses. 1996 mercedes benz

Still holding strong. Good purchase!
Instructions stated my bumper had 3 screws not 9. The instructions also lacked a tools list.
as described all needed components were included.
Product was a perfect fit and I haven’t had a single issue since installed about a year ago.

Ive been using my bike rack for a full year now and have experienced zero issues with this high-quality hitch. The only thing to note is that the hitch sometimes scrapes on poorly designed driveways, since it reduces some of the clearance at the read end of my vehicle. But this hasnt caused any damage to the hitch nor my vehicle. No clearance issues or scraping on standard driveways or speedbumps experienced. Very happy with this product!
