Can a 2008 and a 2015 Honda Odyssey Use the Same Trailer Hitch
Question:
Will one of your hitch assemblies fit both a 2008 and 2015 Honda odyssey minivan?

Second, third and fourth generation Honda Odysseys from 1999-2015 use the same hitches. The Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 75270 would be a fine choice for both vehicles you mentioned.
It sounds like you might be planning on removing a hitch from an older vehicle and installing it on your 2015. This is perfectly acceptable, but be aware that the hitch installation hardware is meant for a one-time installation only. If you reinstall the hitch on your new Odyssey, you'll want to order replacement hardware which you can obtain by using the # RHK replacement hardware kit I've linked you to. The product page has a field where you'll type in the part number of your existing hitch and a drop down menu to choose the hitch manufacturer.
If you currently own both vehicles, and are planning on swapping the hitch back and forth, I'd recommend against it. As I said above, the hardware is meant for one time usage only. Also, the weldnuts in the frame of the Odyssey have been known to break loose if you attempt to tighten and loosen them multiple times. Given the cost of the replacement hardware and the aggravation you'll experience if one of those weldnuts break loose, you'll be better off having a hitch for each vehicle.
If you're planning on using the vehicle for towing purposes, you'll need a trailer wiring harness. The 2008 and 2015 Odyssey will use different wiring harnesses. For the 2008, you'll need part # 118438 and part # 118521 for the 2015. You'll also need a ball mount like part # 2753 and a trailer ball like part # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
