Super fast shipping. Arrived in 2 days. Excellent product. Function, fit and finish is great.

by:

Did not get this far. Wrong hitch bolt

by:

I have an older Holdup model, but this current one fits just perfect. They have improved the wheel strap design, and include a few extra parts—such as the hitch pin, and pin that locks the rack in the upright position. It was nice to replace a few beat up parts! The keyed locks did not match my original, but Yakima has a process to request new ones. Really happy with it—and glad etrailer doesn’t have an oversized freight charge for shipping!

by:

Very happy with etrailer and the add on bike carrier. Excellent communication throughout and felt very comfortable though the shipping and receiving even though it was during shortages and covid.

by:

This rack is heavy once attached to the base unit, but ROCK SOLID! I have no worries of bikes shifting or bouncing around. It takes two people to install and remove the rack when set up for all four bikes. If i am only taking 1-2 bikes, I definitely remove this from the base unit to make it more manageable.

by:

Ultra heavy-duty setup and the weight capacity crushes everything else on the market. Pair the four bike setup (HoldUp and a Plus 2) with a BackSwing for the ultimate bike hauling experience. Works with large and heavy bikes, ala electric.

by:

Great price on the +2 extender for my Holdup. Just installed with no issues, thanks to clear instructions from the etrailer.com website.

by:

Great to purchase from etrailer as always. Prompt service and delivery. Will always do business with them.

by:

Delivered on the estimated date in perfect condition at a great price.

by:

Great product and service. thanks

by:

Exactly what I expected. Works well and easy quick delivery

If you would like to add a 2 bike adapter to the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches - Platform Style - Tilting part # Y02443 you will need the adapter part # Y02446. The Plus 2 adapter converts your 2 bike Yakima HoldUp to a 4-bike carrier.

  • Will Swagman XTC4 4-Bike Carrier # S64665 Allow Rear Hatch Access on a 2013 Toyota 4 Runner
The Swagman XTC4 4-Bike Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part # S64665, does have tilting upright masts to allow hatch access when not loaded with bikes but the main horizontal structure can drop only to a level position (as with bikes loaded and going down the road). It does not tilt down below the level position. With your four bikes loaded you will not be able to open your rear hatch. A better option for rear hatch access is the Yakima HoldUp 2-bike carrier # Y02443 partnered with the matching...

  • Is there a 2-Bike Add-On for the Yakima StickUp Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack
The Yakima StickUp, # Y02420, is stuck being a 2-bike rack. There is no add-on that will allow you to carry 4 bikes. Since you need to carry 4 bikes you have some options. You can go with a full time 4-bike rack or you can go with a 2-bike rack that does have an add-on feature that will allow you to carry 2 bikes when needed. I will give you the best options for each of these racks based on similar functionality and other characteristics displayed by the StickUp. For a strictly 4-bike...

  • Quality Hitch Bike Rack Recommendation for 4 New Mountain Bikes with Disc Brakes
Another 4 bike rack I would have you consider is the Yakima HoldUp, item # Y02443, along with the Plus 2 Adapter for HoldUp 2 Bike Carrier, 2 inch Hitches, item # Y02446. This rack is a wheel mount style for ease of loading and unloading the bikes and secures the bikes, keeping them from contacting each other or the back of the vehicle. This style is also a good choice for mountain bikes with suspensions because it is it does not compress the frame of the bike and wear the shocks.

  • Comparing the Thule T2 and Yakima HoldUp Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Racks for a 2011 Mazda CX-9
Bike racks are not vehicle specific there are just some that vehicle owners purchase more often for certain vehicles than others. Since you have a 2 inch trailer hitch on your 2011 Mazda CX-9, you can use the Yakima HoldUp, # Y02443. The Thule T2, # TH83GC will also fit. I have linked video reviews of both racks for you. The Holdup has a capacity of 60 pounds per bike and the T2 has a 50 pound per bike capacity. The HoldUp will accept 14 to 29 inch bike wheels. The T2 will accept 20 to...

  • Can Yakima Plus 2 2-Bike Add-On be Used with Replacement Spine to Make a HoldUp Rack
Since the front/rear trays that come on the Yakima HoldUp 4 Bike Rack # Y02443-2 are the same for both the regular rack and the Plus 2 2-Bike Add-On # Y02446 I see absolutely no reason why you can't simply install the trays onto the Replacement Spine # 8890277 to have a 2nd HoldUp bike rack. Please note that if you want to use these bike racks apart from each other you'll need a second hitch bolt and clip # Y8890200. If you want to upgrade the bike rack to include a lock on the hitch pin...

  • Tilt Away Bike Rack Options for 2013 Hyundai Tucson
Of the options that you have researched and the points you identify, I suggest the Yakima HoldUp # Y02443. This is a highly reviewed product and currently has a 4.8 rating. With your concerns of damage to your bikes painted surface this is good option since it secures the bikes without frame contact. The versatile design holds most bikes regardless of frame design, suspension, or brake style and provides your desired tilt down option. It also has available add-on that lets you convert...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Platform-Style Bike Rack for 2012 VW Golf
When one of the available hitches for your 2012 VW Golf is installed, the receiver will be located so that it's hitch pin hole sits about 6 to 7 inches forward of the furthest rearward part of the bumper. Because it's recessed under the bumper pretty far, unfortunately the shank of the Thule TH44VR Helium wouldn't be able slide into the receiver tube far enough for the hitch pin hole in the shank to line up with the hole in the receiver. I do have a combination that would work for you....

  • Recommendation for Hitches and Bike Racks for a 2011 Infiniti FX35 and 1998 Toyota 4Runner
Between the bike racks that you mentioned, Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV, the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22G, and the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack # Y02443, I recommend the Yakima HoldUp rack because it fits you application the best. The Yakima bike rack can carry a wheel diameter between 14-29 inches. Being able to carry a tire as low as 14 inches will allow to carry the smaller child's bikes. Kuat and Thule have a 20 inch minimum on their wheel diameter. Also, the when folded up the Yakima rack measures...

  • Can the Thule Apex XT Bike Rack Carry a 50 lb E-Bike
While the Thule Apex XT 5 Bike Rack # TH9026XT does have a weight capacity of 150 lbs, this is for when it is fully loaded to 4 or 5 bikes (30 lbs - 35 lbs per bike). The individual cradles won't be able to handle a 50 lb bike so we'll need to find an alternative to transport your E-Bike. An alternative option from Yakima is the HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02443 which can carry up to 2 bikes weighing 60 lbs each. • Best E Bike Carrier for a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe for Girls E-Bikes
For any kind of an alternate frame e-bike, your best rack is always going to be a wheel-mount, platform style carrier that fits into a trailer hitch. This is because the weight capacity and ease of loading are the best possible solution for carrying your e-bikes safely and easily. One of my favorite racks for e-bikes is the Yakima HoldUp, part # Y02443 . It is a wheel mount carrier that can hold a massive 60lbs per bike on a Class III hitch. My favorite bike rack to recommend for electric bikes is the RockyMounts Backstage, part # RKY10002. It carries 2 bikes up to 60 pounds each so it'll handle yours just fine. The thing I like about it most is that it swings completely away from the vehicle, with the bikes loaded, to access to rear. Take a look at the video I attached. Both the Kuat Transfer 2 part # KU74FR and the Yakima HoldUp 2 part # Y02443 are excellent bike racks that will work well for you.
