3,000-lb Capacity. These hollow rubber springs sit above the rear axle to help stabilize and level your vehicle. They also provide a more comfortable ride by absorbing road shock and improving roll stability. Easy to install and use.

Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

3,000-lb Capacity. These hollow rubber springs sit above the rear axle to help stabilize and level your vehicle. They also provide a more comfortable ride by absorbing road shock and improving roll stability. Easy to install and use.Definitely a must have when towing..stiff without a load but night and day difference while towing my travel trailer, better traction, steering and braking. Easy quick install..only issue I had was with the long bolts they sent with the spacer kit (optional for lift) the bolt diameter was too wide to fit through the holes on the bracket..but a trip to the local hardware store took care of that.
Upon opening the box I noticed that one of the brackets had a defective weld. I have submitted photos. I call the 1 800 etrailer number and had a 1 hour wait time. So I call Timbren direct and they said to send photos of the problem and mailing address and they would send out a new one.
The rest of the product seems to be in good shape and looks easy to install.
Installed on a 2018 Nissan Frontier 2 wheel drive.
I haul a small travel trailer and firewood from time to time.
These springs really help out with the additional weight.
The ride is slightly more firm over rough roads ( yes I have them installed correctly with a gap between the factory springs) but the ride is livable fir me. I recommend them.
Installed on my 2011 Tacoma TRD Off-Road Access cab long bed with a cab high shell. Unloaded the frame sits 1/2" above the rubber 'spring'. This is perfect such that around town and unloaded the drive is the stock suspension and when cornering they come into contact noticeably reducing roll. When the truck is loaded they come into full time contact providing a much superior ride with no bottoming, better ride height and greatly reduced roll. Really makes a difference on backcountry roads when loaded with camping gear. When I installed them last year I was concerned with the rubber potentially deteriorating, but since then they have been on many loaded camping trips on backcountry roads including a long trip from UT to AK/Yukon and back so they have been thoroughly tested with no signs of the rubber failing. Attached is photo showing ride height with easily 1,000 lbs of load added to the truck for an extended camping expedition. Even if you don't carry heavy loads or trailers, I would install these anyway just for the greatly improved roll resistance when daily driving. Cost is high but they work and last justifying the cost.
Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Kit was exactly what I needed to easily improve the handling of my 2019 Nissan Frontier while hauling heavy loads. The tutorial videos from etrailer are always extremely helpful and make installation very easy. I had the kit installed in about 45 minutes with no problems. The Frontier's ride hauling my next load of large tree branches to our local recycling facility was much improved.
The Timbren suspension was delivered on time .
The unit was installed using the instructions provided and took about 45 minutes for both sides of the rear axle. I have not put a load on the truck yet to see how it works. There is about 1" of clearance between the rubber timbren stops and the frame of the truck,so it hasn't affected the way the truck handles for now,I'll be able to tell more about it once I hitch my Travel Trailer up.The installation was done on a 2017 Nissan Frontier.
For the way I use my truck, these are great. Much better than heavy springs for occasional load or trailer. I would recommend these. And great customer service
The Timbren system improved the right of my truck especially when pulling a heavy trailer. It's a Nissan Frontier and I have far greater stability now when pulling the trailer. The ride makes it feel like a larger truck but not too rough. Very happy that I purchased this for the truck, and the installation was very easy on the nissan.
2010 Nissan Frontier with Timbren suspension components. Trailer is a Jayco X17Z with close to 450lbs of tongue weight. Pictures are a before and after view of the rear suspension droop.

Since the Timbren install we have towed the camper on back roads with stop and go traffic as well as on the highway at 65 mph. The Pro4X does ride level and handles the added weight well. I wish I had a longer wheel base and a tandem axle trailer as on occasion we develop a slight up and down oscillation until the suspension settles down. It is noticeable when driving over long bridges. This is mainly due to the truck setup and not the Timbrens. We had this problem before the install and the Timbrens are making a difference.I have also hauled an estimated 780 lbs of hardwood flooring in the bed at 65mph and the truck handled it with no problem. It remained level and stable.
I purchased this kit to keep my 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Short Bed from bottoming out when it has a load in the bed. It really did the trick as well as improved the stability with or without a load. The only down side is that the suspension is much more stiff without a load in the bed. It took some getting used to, but after having them on for a couple months, it doesn't bother me.
Easy install. I can see where the stock rubber bumpers hit the stop. Much easier than installing overload springs as some Frontier owners do to reduce the sag.
The order and shipping process was flawless -- the Timbrens arrived exactly when E-trailer said they would. An hour after they got here, I had them completely installed.
As of this date (7/30/13), the posted instructions (and the ones that came with the Timbrens) are not quite correct for a new Tacoma, as I verified with a Timbren tech. (These are Tacoma-specific issues -- they may not apply to other trucks.) Do not jack the truck up. I ran the back tires up onto blocks (to give myself more room underneath) and set the parking brake. I put a jack stand under the differential -- probably not needed. I crawled under and did one side at a time -- loosen the u-bolts, remove the old bump stop, stick in the new Timbren, and tighten. Not technically demanding at all. My crawler dolly was very helpful.
Some tips: use a 9/16 socket with an extension to put the nut onto the bolt inside the Timbren rubber spring and then tighten the bolt with an Allen wrench. When loosening the Tacoma's u-bolts, use a 3/4 socket. Depending on the clearance between the leaf springs and the frame, you may need to remove one side of the u-bolt assembly to install the Timbren because the angle of the baseplate is greater than the angle of the OEM bump stop. I was told that the u-bolt nuts on a Tacoma should be re-tightened with a torque wrench to about 70 foot/pounds. I found it a little tiring to lay on my back and torque the nuts, but then again I am verging on elderly. A young person in decent shape should have no trouble.
I don't know yet if the Timbrens will help my saggy rear end when I am towing a trailer, but others have said that this will be very helpful.
This is my second major purchase from E-trailer -- I am impressed with their selection, service, and pricing.

After a year or more of hard use, the product is still going strong thanks for asking!
These spring stops seem like a heavy duty quality product. Very easy installation on my 13 Nissan Frontier by jacking up vehicle under shock mounts and removing tire, then clean area with compressed air and remove clamp nuts with air gun (if owned) remove old stops and install new stops and retighten nuts. I have about 1/2" to 3/4" clearance as advertised. Have not been able to haul anything yet but am sure they will help greatly. Also do one tire at a time (Safety) sorry no pictures. etrailer was quick to process and ship order. Great Business.
Thanks etrailer

Still working great!!
Excellent product, great service from Adam E highly recommend doing business with these people
I feel better knowing that these are on my vehicle. I do not tow often so I felt this item was better for me than a air ride suspension. I am happy with my purchase. Easy to install maybe 20 minutes and I was done. Bigger than stock help support weight of my camper better. etrailer customer service was very friendly and helpful with my purchase.

Works so good I forget it is there.
These things should have been installed from the factory. Body roll is basically non existent in a turn now, and going over large bumps, like poorly made roads, is so much more comfortable. Can't wait to tow with these.
I have used these on all my vehicles. Definitely helps with keeping the load from squatting the rear and keeping steering in tact. Helps with body roll when making tight corners. A must buy.
Product appearance is high quality. Installs easily. I will know more in a couple weeks when I tow the trailer for 1500 miles.

Fantastic. We have towed through Calif., AZ., NM., and Colorado. Truck is stable on mountain roads.
I've owned this product and had it installed on my 2017 Nissan Frontier for over a year now. I've towed a Travel Trailer RV behind my truck for a month and a half straight, and on many long and short weekends this year. What I can tell you is, I would buy this product again. I do not notice it at all when not towing, the ride is smooth and the suspension acts as it would while daily driving. However, when I have a load on the hitch, the truck doesn't sag, the suspension doesn't feel stiff, and my load and truck are level. Provides a good peace of mind that the load is level and clearance for the hitch due to no sagging of the rear suspension under normal loads. I recommend this product!
I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma that I use to pull a travel trailer. The truck has plenty of power to pull the trailer but the suspension has always been outmatched by even light loads (500-1000 lbs). I have had this system in my truck for about a year. It has been tested pulling trailers weighing from 500-5500 lbs and bed loads in excess of 2000 lbs. The product performs admirably keeping the truck suspension from bottoming out. It does not assist with emergency handling under load (sway) but I believe that is beyond the scope of the design. I have not noticed any undesirable or unintended alteration to the truck's suspension in normal driving conditions or while driving off road. For it's intended purpose the Timbren system performs very well.
I put these on my 2014 Nissan Frontier SV (long box). Overloaded the truck for a move from Alaska to Michigan (3,000+ miles, took the long way to hit up all the national parks). Great ride all the way. Down side to not being adjustable, like airbags, it bucks when riding empty but I don't care. Note for installing, just because mount is centered on leaf spring does not mean it meets the frame/plate on center. Mount accordingly.
Thank you Jameson C for recommending the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System for my 2019 Nissan Frontier 4x4. Very easy to install and with out any load did not stiffen the ride. With no load the Timbren has about 1/2" space between it and the frame allowing it to ride like it did with out it. With the trailer the ride is a bit stiffer but DEFINITELY feels more controllable. The squat in the rear with the 20' travel trailer went from 2.25" to 1".
They worked when I pulled a heavy trailer, but when not pulling a trailer the truck rode so ruff it hurt my back so I ended up taking Timbren rear suspension back off. If you are going to pull heavy trailers all the time or have a heavy load on your truck all the time, then they are good, otherwise do not put these on your truck
Quality product, inexpensive installation. Had my mechanic install, could do it myself but did not want to mess with a new vehicle! Had these on my Honda pilot and they worked great towing my 17 Casita ! Would recommend.

Excellent, good product
Found these very easy to install on my 2005 Tacoma. The back end was beginning to sag some from overloading so added a helper spring to give the Timbrens some clearance and these fit in as designed. With a loaded 16' equipment trailer, the truck rides level and smooth.
