Today on our 2009 Subaru Forester we'll be test fitting the rapid podium roof rack system from Thule using part numbers THARB47, TH460R, and THKIT3079. With our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin our test fit by removing the covers for our fixed points. These covers don't actually fully remove, they just flip up. We can then insert our bolts to each hole, making sure we tighten them down with the allen key. Then we'll go ahead and put our spacer slider over top each bolt. Now we'll grab our front bar and place it on the front part of our roof. We'll want to make sure that the bolts go through the hole in the center of our foot pack. Now we'll want to check to make sure that we have even bar overhang on each side. We'll use an allen key to tighten the two bolts on our foot pack to secure it in position where it is on the bar. We'll do this for both sides.
Then we'll take our nut, tighten it on our bolt, which will tighten our foot pack against the roof line of our vehicle. We can then use the included tool to finish the tightening process. We'll grab our rear bar and place it onto the rear part of our roof. Once we have the bolts through the foot pack, we'll check for even bar overhang and then we can repeat the same tightening process that we used at the front. That completes today's test fit for the Thule rapid podium roof rack system using part numbers THARB47, TH460R, and THKIT3079, on our 2009 Subaru Forester. .

Saying this was a great purchase would be an understatement. It’s awesome! Great price and quality. Very durable and gets the job done. I’m not nervous when we’re driving in the highway with our kayaks, I have confidence in the product. I did not install them myself, but my husband installed them fairly quickly and said the directions were straightforward. Highly recommend. I bought this product on the recommendation of a friend and have referred a couple of my friends to this site as well. I have a 2016 Subaru Forester, fits perfectly, no issues.

I bought the rack for my niece and put it on her vehicle. Everything that I needed was included and went on with no glitches. She has used it for canoe and skis and is very happy with it.
