Specs:
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
This light has an industry-standard PL-3 connection as pictured above. The light accepts a 3-prong plug (A45PB or A47PB - both sold separately).
Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a housing or a grommet (A70GB) sold separately. These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Optronics HyperX Amber LED Side Marker and Parking Light. Today we're gonna be installing the light on this flatbed Big Tex trailer. Now, this one, if you come in closer, you can see it's gonna have 12 diodes. It's gonna have an RD amber lens on it with some texture on there as well to help reflection. It's gonna fit right in here where the old one was.
It is DOT compliant and can be submerged in water, so even if you're not putting it on a flatbed like this, maybe put on a boat trailer, it's gonna be just fine. Just gonna connect it in right where we remove the last one. It's got the three prong connector, just plugs into the back. Just push it into place and then we'll push the light into the grommet. There you go.
With the lights on, well, it's taillight mode right now, we're gonna switch it to brake lights and then the turn signal. That light's gonna measure six and 7/16ths by two and 5/16ths, so just go out and measure your trailer lights to make sure they're gonna fit. You have options when it comes to side marker lights. We have one here that has more of a clear front, so there's not gonna be any texture or patterns on there. Still tinted amber, with the mirror background, it's gonna make this one a little bit brighter and stand out.
Then we have this one that has this part that protrudes or it's almost a 3D light, so it sticks out a little bit further from the side of the trailer, making it easier for everyone to see. And then we have the incandescent. These on your trailer, we usually recommend replacing with the LEDs. They still work, so this is what the rest of your trailer has, and you don't wanna replace all those lights, and you still get one of these. It's just not gonna last as long or be as bright of any of the LEDs here.
Overall, I think it's gonna be an upgrade for your trailer. The LEDs really do stand out, plus they last way longer, so you won't have to replace 'em for a long time. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. Hope this helps.
