Optronics STL22 Series Miro-Flex Oval Sealed Tail Light Diagram

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Recessed-Mount Light

Recessed mount light

Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a grommet (A70GB - sold separately). These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

Video Transcript for Optronics Miro-Flex LED Trailer Turn Signal and Parking Light Review

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this is Miro-Flex turn signal and parking light. It's gonna have LEDs in there. We're gonna be putting it on this trailer. Let's check it out. Today we're gonna be putting it on this flatbed Big Tex trailer, and this is gonna have 16 diodes.

It's gonna be way brighter than the one that was in here before. It's also gonna have the mirrored back there, so it's gonna have more light reflect out the front which is also clear, which is gonna let more light through. So let's go ahead and hook it up and see how bright it is. It's got the three prong connector. It goes right into the back of the light.

Since it is a side marker light, it is gonna be amber, as you can see. These line up the plugs (metal clinking) and push it in. Making that connection. Now, it also can be submerged in water. So if you're putting on a boat trailer, that's okay too.

I'm just gonna push it into the grommet. We're gonna try not to install the full brakes. We are gonna take it out after the video but I wanna show you (plastic clicking) how it would go in. Right now we have the tail lights on. I'm gonna switch the functionality to brake lights and then the right turn.

(turn signal clicking) This is amber light, it's also gonna be DOT compliant, and it's gonna measure six and a half inches long, by two and five 16 inch wide. So make sure you measure your lights on your trailer so it's gonna fit. So there are a few different options for side marker lights. The one we have today that we installed, that's got the 16 diodes in it, with a clear lens, and the mirrored background. Now there's another one that you can get that's gonna be LED as well. It's gonna have nine diodes and that also has this part that protrudes, so it's 3D, so you can see it better from the side. Not only can you see it in the rear view mirror but people driving by can see it too especially at the overhang rail here. This is gonna stick out so people can see it when you do need to turn. Now, most part, (metal clinking) these are usually what we say, "You should replace." These are the incandescent lights. You see the bulb on the inside there. That's gonna be a more cost effective option for your trailer. Maybe if you don't wanna redo all the lights you just wanna replace the same one you had before. You can go this way. We just warn that, the bulbs aren't gonna last as long as the LEDs. Now there's the same light, which is a different style. This one's gonna have a tinted lens on the front. It still has the same 16 diodes and it's still a amber side marker light, but you can get it with a tinted lens if that's what you want. Overall, definitely there's gonna be (metal clinking) an upgrade for your trailer, from LED to LED. I could already tell that it was brighter than the one that was on here before. Thanks to the extra diodes and the clear lens. Now, if you're going from incandescent to LED, you're gonna see an even bigger difference. It's gonna be brighter, it's gonna last 50 times longer. So you won't have to replace it as often as you would with an incandescent it's gonna last longer when you're driving down the road. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and I hope this helped.

Lights look good, won't be installed till trailer is out of storage...
*Only issue I had was I wished shipper had packaged lights in protection bubble wrap, light lenses got scratched up in the box with other loose items:/

Etrailer STL22ab: Another great product from Optronics through ETRAILER.COM
The technology of the Miro-Flex is an amazing upgrade from the previous generation of LED lights. Even in the dark garage, not connected to any power source, I set this light, and a 1st generation 6inch LED light on the table. Turned off the lights and shined a flashlight over both of them. The STL22ab reflected light from all of the 16 individually prisms. It was amazing, the other LED did not. This light is BRIGHT, solid construction and arrived from ETRAILER.COM quickly packaged in a box to protect it. Will be ordering 4 RED ones to replace my other older LEDs.
Great BUY!

etailer has everything, even these tail lights for my Thule hitch Terrapin Cargo Box to replace the original sealed incandescent Tail Light Units.

by:

shipping delayed but communication with etrailer outstanding giving the truth.

by:

great service !! I ordered my lights and they shipped the same day .Received them today. I could not be more happy. Thanks,

by:

Everything was good except one of the lights was missing the chrome bezel. Because I was replacing lights I used one of the older bezel.

These side markers (both red and amber LED) are great for my 12' trailer. They have 3 LEDs (you can also get 4), and their size is perfect for a small trailer. The LED's are really bright, not only at night, but also during the day, so they are easily seen. I especially like the fact that they are sealed, so there should be no water intrusion problems in the future. I have included a few pictures, the first showing the round LED brake/turn/running/reverse lights (that I had purchased earlier from etrailer) with the red side marker mounted vertically on the outside. The second shows a side view of the red side marker light, and the 3rd picture shows the side marker mounted to a small piece of 1" X 1" x 1/8" aluminum angle which I painted black to match the mounting frame of the round LED lights. I mounted the LED side marker to one leg of the aluminum angle, then mounted the other leg with 1" standoffs to two holes already present on the black mounting frame of the round LED light. Although all the lights are sealed against water intrusion, I decided to mount them on each side of the trailer at the top of 2 PVC pipes, about 36" long each, where the lights would not be exposed to immersing in water when launching/retrieving a boat.

I installed these lights in a T@B teardrop camping trailer. The grommet would not work on this style trailer so I installed the lights using a silicone adhesive the same as the original Peterson lights. eTrailer delivered them in the same timely manner I have come to expect from them and the LEDs were easy to install. These lights are blindingly bright - simply amazing. I had rear lights with 1157 bulbs which I had upgraded to 2357 bulbs and equipped the tow vehicle with a powered converter but the light output was dim by today's standards. These lights are twice as bright on running lights and about 4 times brighter on the brake/turn signal elements. The thing we all fear when towing is being hit from behind by a driver that does not see our running, brake or turn signal lights in time. I know these lights will vastly improve the safety and visibility of our trailer. Thanks!

Direct replacement for broken lights on my RV. Easy to do business with etrailer!!

by:

Great little lights, and very bright as well. They have been installed on a trailer and submerged many times since installed, and still work great!! Can't beat LED's for brightness and, hopefully, longevity!!! Attached is one picture of the overall trailer, and a closeup of the amber side light. I also have 2 red sidelights that are mounted above water at the rear of the trailer, and they are still working great as well.

by:

I found the exact replacement side light to match my custom trailer, reasonable price and quick shipping

by:

This fixture was the exact replacement for my 2011 Trailmanor 2720 trailer. The manufacturer had moved to a more modern looking fixture. I was even able to use the old chrome piece from the old fixture to keep a uniform age look. I installed a wireless rearview camera and needed a new fixture and its longer wires to make everything work. May look a little strange, but it works like a charm. E-Trailer service was excellent as usual.

by:

These are a perfect upgrade on my jet ski trailer which was constantly burning bulbs maybe because the lights were not watertight. No amount of dielectric grease prevented it. These were easy to install. They are watertight and are twice as bright as the old ones. Great customer service! I highly recommend the lights and etrailer.com!

by:

These lights are great! Since installing them, I am amazed how much respect my rig gets. Other motorists used to give me space when I used by turn signals. Now they immediately yield to me and give me the space I need. I am so grateful that I invested in these lights!!!

by:

Though I have not hooked up yet…the lamps are an exact replacement for my Toyhauler. Gaskets or screws do not come with these lamps, though there should be a gasket with them. I have material and will make my own (see photo’s).
etrailer does well with follow up email/s along with your order/s. I’ve had no issues with any previous orders as well. Shipping took about a week through USPS.

Order was correct and filled quickly.

by:

Exact replacement, works.

These lights are of very good quality and are really bright. I use them on an early 70's Bronco for the front turn signals. Day or night, they are distinct and unique and best of all, . Definitely visibly on during the night AND the day (this can be seen in the photo taken on a Snow day, bright, while half way out of my garage). Great price for a great product

by:

The size was right, and the brightness of the LED light, let's people know there is a trailer in front of them, especially when braking, or making a turn
