Spring-Loaded Arm Extends and Retracts

Illustration of detent ball in RackEm traffic cone holder

The holder has an adjustable arm that extends to hold traffic cones and retracts when not in use. To extend the arm, simply pull it out until it locks in place with 2 detent balls. To retract the arm, push in the detent balls and slide it down.

Stow Traffic Cones

To use the holder, pull the arm away from the wall and stack traffic warning cones over the end. The arm is held upright against your trailer's wall by a steel spring in the base of the holder. This spring-loaded design keeps the arm from bouncing around when your trailer encounters bumps.

Easy Clip-On Installation

Video Transcript for RackEm E-Track Traffic Cone Holder Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rack'em parking cone holder. This is part number RA-26. This is made to work in conjunction with our spare tire rack from Rack'em as well. That part number is RA-16. As you can see here, nice sturdy steel construction. We've got solid welds all the way around. We don't have any exposed areas.

We've also got the nice hand hammered finished. It's going to help to resist corrosion and scratches, things like that, keep it looking good for a long time. When not in use, we can easily tuck our holder up against the wall there. As you can see as we tilt it out, it's designed with a heavy metal stop down here, so they come up, make contact with our bracket and prevent it from tilting out all the way. It's going to install simply into our spare tire holder using an E-track style connection. We just place that in, slide it up, rotate it in, and then we're going to push that back down until our little lever clicks into position. As you can see, we've got the room we need to slide our cones in and down. This is going to sandwich right up against that spare tire and keep them from moving around as we're traveling down the road. Now, in talking with Rack'em they told us with the spare tire installed, it's kind of going to help stabilize our cones a little bit as we're traveling down the road.

Something that we encountered, it kind of limits the capacity that we can get on there. So with that removed, we're going to be able to extend our shaft out much higher, giving us a greater capacity. As you can see, with it in this configuration we're going to be able to stack out a lot more cones. We could probably even add more to this as long as our ceiling will allow it. So just as a reference for you, they say with the spare tire here they're going to be a little more stable. Without the spare tire, you're going to get greater capacity. That's going to complete today's look at the Rack'em cone holder, part number RA-26.

Great product and an extremely helpful staff!

The Erickson E-track wheel tie down system is outstanding. Very easy to fit, especially on cars that are low and have tight clearances. Pretty easy to set up and once ready, very easy and effective to use. I wish there were instructions though since the small red pads were a mystery. Good product.

The door holder worked as advertised.

Great customer service as well!

  • Shelving Options That Mount to Trailer Wall
There may be a solution for you though the Traffic Cone Holder for E-Track or Rack'em Spare Tire Holder # RA-26 does not have a specific weight rating for one of the brackets. There are a couple options for you to consider like the CargoSmart Rotating Board Holder for E-Track and X-Track Systems # 3481740, which will require you to provide your own shelving. I believe this may have been what you were referring to by something like the cone holder with the bar laying flat in the bracket....

  • How to Mount Bicycles to an Enclosed Trailer Wall
The Traffic Cone Holder, # RA-26, that you mentioned is designed to store cones that are 12" - 36" tall, and the arm of the holder is 22-3/8" long. The arm does not fold down a full 90 degrees, so this would not be the best option for mounting your bikes to the trailer wall. However, I do have a couple of alternate solutions for you. First, you could use the Single Hook Racks for Enclosed Trailers, # RA-8. These sturdy hooks can hold well over 60 lbs., so they should easily support...
