Protect your RV slide-out from debris and keep moisture out of your siding to prevent water damage and mildew with this slide topper awning. Made for slide-outs that measure up to 6'7" from edge to edge. Includes all necessary components.

Specs:
Note: The slide topper you receive may or may not be from the Solera 5000 Series. A minor re-design has changed the shape of the extension bar, awning heads, and brackets. There is no difference in how it functions or installs.
To ensure you get the correct size awning for your slide-out, measure from outer edge to outer edge of the trim. You will need 7" of clearance on both sides of the slide-out for the awning. If you dont have 7" clearance on both sides, go down to the next size; this will still give your slide-out plenty of coverage.
If there are two slide-outs next to each other, you will need a total of 14" of clearance between them for them both to have a slide-out awning. Again, you can go down a size if you are low on space.
Without a slide-topper, the roof of your slide-out room is continually exposed and can accumulate leaves and bugs and different types of debris. That debris can build up along the rubber strip at the top of your box, preventing a firm seal when your slide-out is retracted. Rain water can then get in and pool on the top of your slide-out. If you don't clear the water off each time it rains, mold can begin to form. And when your slide-out is pulled in, that mold gets inside your RV.
The Solera RV slide-out awning alleviates those problems by serving as a protective covering over the top of your RV's slide-out. Not only does it prevent debris from collecting on the roof of your slide-out, but it keeps water from pooling and potentially causing damage down the road. Because it mounts directly to the front of the slide box, the slide-out awning is able to automatically extend and retract every time the slide-out room is extended or retracted.
The durable awning fabric holds up to the rigors of the outdoors. It's made of premium 13.5-oz vinyl, which is an upgrade over the 10-oz fabric used in many awnings. This fabric also features heat-welded seams to prevent leaks. And it is made to withstand cold temperatures down to -25 degrees Fahrenheit, so it won't crack or degrade during the winter.
Use the self-tapping screws to secure the included access plate to the side of your slide-out, positioning the plate at the bottom of the T-molding. The two access brackets slide easily onto the access plate's track. The rods that are located at each end of the roller tube, which comes with the awning fabric already mounted, slide through the hole in the two access brackets.
The included awning rail is used to anchor the other side of the fabric to your RV. This rail can be mounted up to 5" above the trim on top of your slide box.

Protect your RV slide-out from debris and keep moisture out of your siding to prevent water damage and mildew with this slide topper awning. Made for slide-outs that measure up to 6'7" from edge to edge. Includes all necessary components.I like the slide toppers except in the extreme wind because they do flap when the wind is from the right direction. I should note that I was sent this review link by etrailer and not Lippert. etrailer is great to order from. However, one of the sets of brackets were different dimensions than the other set, causing my topper to rub on the slide flange. I contacted etrailer and was sent to Lippert. The first individual I spoke with didn't appear to know much about slide toppers even after I sent him photos pointing out the difference in brackets and, he confirmed that the two sets should have been the same. The next person acted as though they didn't believe me and I sent more photos with a tape measure in the photo to illustrate the difference between the two sets of brackets. Many many many more email exchanges as well as numerous phone calls later, they agreed to send me a new set of brackets. By this time of course, I had already jury rigged it with a doubled up piece of hard rubber to act as a spacer. Lots of miles and high winds and they are holding up pretty good. etrailer, good. Lippert, not so good customer service.
A friend and I installed this topper today on a Winnebago 2101DS travel trailer. It took a little over one hour and we didn't run into any real problems. One thing the instructions said to do was to mount the hex aluminum bar in the end bracket using a self tapping 1/4-20 screw. Seemed almost impossible to do so I used a 1/4-20 tap. Worked fine.
Once the slide topper is squared away and goes in and out properly the paper instructions want you to install a black self tapping screw in the fabric slot within 1" of the end of the fabric. I didn't like the idea of running the screw through the fabric. I had some black tubing from another project which I used for the block to keep the slide fabric from moving.
The topper seems to be high quality and certainly will provide additional protection from the elements. This is definitely a two man job and my friend was great help. When we were sliding the fabric into the slide topper rail we found the best way was for me to be on the roof supporting the topper while my friend guided the fabric into the rail slot.

I assume it has been working well but I dont know since we traded the trailer for a larger one last April.
An "add-on" that is absolutely necessary -- this "slide topper" shields the top of the slide from grit, grime, trash, dust & potential mold so that it isn't pulled back into the RV each time the slide is retracted. Frankly, the written instructions leave much to be desired, but thanks to the etrailer videos a reasonably able DIY'ER can install (...can't over emphasize that watching and memorizing the videos is a must, however!). An excellent product that seems to wear well while providing "necessary" protection.

It works! Still functions as it did when new.
Our slide out awning was damaged when we were hit by a 65 mph side wind while driving, we contacted etrailer and they were able to match our Lippert Awning with the correct replacement. We set up scaffolding because it was easier then two 70 plus amateur’s hanging off of ladders! Easy reading instructions and lots of pictures in the directions. I had no doubt that if we needed help we could have called etrailer. 2 hours later it was done! I hope it never happens again but if it does I know who to call!!! Thanks etrailer
Love this slide topper! Well made, easy to install and perfectly covers/protects our slideout. etrailer had the best prices around and fast delivery!

It’s been a year since we installed the slide topper. Still in great shape, it has protected our slide very well. Definitely would recommend!
This slide awning looks great and was very easy to install. The enclosed instructions were very easy to follow. If you are thinking of adding a slide awning I would recommend this one. I am very pleased with my purchase!
Excellent quality. Support to assist with proper size was awesome. Easy installation. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Always a pleasure working with etrailer
Very quick shipping excellent video tutorial on installation awesome product
Bought 2 slide out awning for our 2027 Jayco Melbourne 24K and it’s been a year since installing them myself. Installation was very straight forward. I have not had a single issue and it sure is a lot safer than climbing a ladder to verify the sliders were clear of debris Before retraction.
One important note to add. When I received the awnings one package was missing most of the components due to bad handling by the shipping company. I called etrailer customer support and told them what parts were missing and they shipped the missing parts really fast. Awesome company and I definitely would recommend them to others.

Still working great.
Everything arrived quickly, 3 days. Going over the installation manual I notice LCI added a new part, slide topper access plate. Service didn’t seem to be familiar with it so I looked it up under LCI. This is being added to new RV’s starting 2020. It’s purpose is for easier installation of slide toppers after market. Basically encourages purchasers to question what brackets are for, when informed, will lead to purchasing toppers. Anyway seems like a straight forward install.

Awnings are holding up well. Very pleased that I decided to add these. Only had one small issue. The that goes inside the slot in the tube, keeps the awning connected to the tube, keeps coming out on the small bedroom slide. Upon inspection realized it was glued at the ends to keep it in place. Easy fix, took small self tapping screw, ed into the very end of the channel. Problem solved.
Haven't had time to install, but instructions and, video are pretty straight forward. Want to thank Alex and George when UPS destroyed the package losing the hardware mounting hardware They shipped new package right off no questions. Great company! Will be doing more business with them.
Still love it!
Ordered almost $X,XXX worth of items. in April 13, 2022 but all in stock items were held until all items were in stock until I complained then some items were sent on 04/28/2022 (15 Days).Once I received the item all the install hardware & Brackets were missing. I sent them with photo of the RPO code they requested off the item on May 9th, then on May 12 they asked me to email them the photo? that I already emailed them on the 9th? Very poor communications, Final received missing parts on May 19th.(36 Days)

Installed the 7 foot slide topper on our 2020 Coachmen Apex Nano 213rds. Odelia took my order by phone and was very helpful in assuring I had the right product. The topper was in stock and shipped on a Friday afternoon, just hours after placing the order. It arrived as promised, via UPS, with free shipping. After viewing a few on-line videos, I started installation. It was simple and straightforward, requiring just a few tools. The only problem encountered was the need to remove a piece of z-track that is integrated with the top outer slide seal. The design of the Apex Nano provides very little slope from the slide room flange to the sidewall. I did install the fabric rail upside down to get it as high as possible. Also, have a second ladder and some help supporting the roller when setting the fabric in place.
We’re on our first trip with the camper since installing the topper. We had heavy rain last night and while checking things this morning, there were pine tags and pine cones on the topper but, the slide room roof was clean and dry. Great buy.
I have used my RV four times since I replaced the slide out. I was particularly pleased that the the fabric is heat welded together instead of sewed. The sewing at the top edge of the awning is what failed on my old Awning. It also is tighter when extended. It does not wipr in the wind like the old one did.
Bought 2 of these for my RV Slideouts. They are working well and were easy to install.
Had a problem with 1 of the units initially, product was damaged in transit. But etrailer stepped in and got it replaced. Times like that is when you appreciate working with reputable vendors.
etrailer always has me covered. When I purchased my camper the slide out did not have an awning. Purchase one from etrailer and it was delivered quick. Install was easy with there videos and instructions that came with it. No more water collecting on top my slide out. Thanks etrailer for all y’all do.

Slide out topper was/is junk, fabric was out of square by 1 1/4 inches, off center on roller and was glued to the inside roller. When I called both etrailer and lippert they were no help. Said it was my fault. For installing it wrong. I believe they (both) do not had the knowledge or skill set on this subject.
Was a little afraid to buy & install myself until I saw the how-to video from etrailer (Thank you so much for doing that!!) It is fantastic! It was missing one of two different screws but had some in my inventory that worked. Once I watched the video it was a breeze to install (YES, you need 2 people to do the installation) so I'm glad I didn't have to rely on the written instructions - they were EXTREMELY confusing!! Very happy with this product and etrailer. (BTW they were VERY fast on the shipping - pleased!)
I ordered five slide-out awnings for my fifth wheel, very good products. All fit and work well.Videos were helpful, and Etrailer customer service was GREAT as always.
Even though I just received the awning, haven’t had a chance to install yet. Came quickly and was free shipping. Easy to navigate the web site. I’m sure it will install quickly

Slide out awning, by Solera was really easy to install. Good instructions and pictures. Have used it a lot this past winter, in and out, in and out. Works excellent and still does the job.
The Slide Topper is a quality item made by Lippert Components. It took my wife and I about 90 minutes to install it but we took our time to make sure we didn't make any mistakes. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars rather than 5 stars is because one of the self tapping screws to install the 7' long Cord rail was missing. Fortunately I had a screw that I could use. The Slide Topper arrived faster than it was scheduled to so etrailer did a great job at making sure my order was on its way quickly. I'd buy this item again if I need to and I will definitely buy from etrailer again!
Easy installation process. Does require 2 people at the end to slide awning through slot and attaching extension rod to the awning pulley.
Adam is great at e-trailer very helpful and ready to help. e-trailer has affordable product, I will continue to shop with them for product to use on our 5th wheel!

Its been a year and a half since I installed the slide toppers. They hold up great. They are stretched a little, but considering the extreme winds theyve endured in the Rio Grande Valley where high winds are common, these are good quality toppers.
