To ensure you get the correct size awning for your slide-out, measure from outer edge to outer edge of the trim. You will need 7" of clearance on both sides of the slide-out for the awning. If you don't have 7" clearance on both sides, go down to the next size; this will still give your slide-out plenty of coverage.
If there are two slide-outs next to each other, you will need a total of 14" of clearance between them for them both to have a slide-out awning. Again, you can go down a size if you are low on space.
Without a slide-topper, the roof of your slide-out room is continually exposed and can accumulate leaves and bugs and different types of debris. That debris can build up along the rubber strip at the top of your box, preventing a firm seal when your slide-out is retracted. Rain water can then get in and pool on the top of your slide-out. If you don't clear the water off each time it rains, mold can begin to form. And when your slide-out is pulled in, that mold gets inside your RV.
The Solera RV slide-out awning alleviates those problems by serving as a protective covering over the top of your RV's slide-out. Not only does it prevent debris from collecting on the roof of your slide-out, but it keeps water from pooling and potentially causing damage down the road. Because it mounts directly to the front of the slide box, the slide-out awning is able to automatically extend and retract every time the slide-out room is extended or retracted.
The durable awning fabric holds up to the rigors of the outdoors. It's made of premium 13.5-oz vinyl, which is an upgrade over the 10-oz fabric used in many awnings. This fabric also features heat-welded seams to prevent leaks. And it is made to withstand cold temperatures down to -25 degrees Fahrenheit, so it won't crack or degrade during the winter.
Use the self-tapping screws to secure the included access plate to the side of your slide-out, positioning the plate at the bottom of the T-molding. The two access brackets slide easily onto the access plate's track. The rods that are located at each end of the roller tube, which comes with the awning fabric already mounted, slide through the hole in the two access brackets.
The included awning rail is used to anchor the other side of the fabric to your RV. This rail can be mounted up to 5" above the trim on top of your slide box.
Note: It's important that the slide-topper sits at as steep an angle as possible so that any rainwater will drain immediately. Any water that sits in the awning can stretch out the fabric permanently and warp it out of shape.

They cover every step in the video and explain assembly better than the supplied instructions. Works great at keeping out the leaves, hoping it works to help keep water out of the slide out seams too.
I called to make sure that the topper I am ordering is going to be the matching one to the ones we have on our 5th wheel. The gentleman told me for sure that it was the one with the round ends on the roller and when we received it yesterday that the end cap was missing and the attachment plate is bent and it’s the wrong one it’s got plastic caps oval shaped on the ends which is not the one that I made sure of to get. Also we expected a lot better experience from e trailer. We would like to know how to fix the problem of the package not being closed, the bent attachment and the wrong roller and hardware from the one I asked for. Please call us as soon as possible cause of our work schedule.

I can certainly understand your disappointment with the topper that was received. Customer service will be in touch with you as soon as possible to assist you.
It wasn't hard to install, you definitely need two people. Prior to installation of the fabric into keder channel, I was able to rotate the gutter spout up and away from the keder channel instead of cutting it off like the installation video showed. I then resealed the gutter into place. Looks great! and so far it is working great!.

Still working as advertised
Slide-awning works great at keeping pine needles, sun and rain off of the slider roof tops. RV’s should come with these as standard equipment.
Glad I installed them.
I received slide topper in excellent condition. I installed it last week. Mounting was very easy, as it took about 5 minutes to do brackets and another 15 to actually put topper on the brackets and secure.

As you can see I ordered a 73 inch awning and was sent a 78 inch instead. This will not fit and will be sent back.

It was a fairly simple installation. There are multiple videos that show how. I did need a helper to attach to the rail.
Best customer service. Fast shipping. The awning is very well built.
Love it! Works great. Keeps the debris off the top of pop out. Plus the sound of the rain is almost mute compared without it.

It is a great product. Easy to install and works great
Solera slide topper arrived in good shape on our 2018 R-Pod 180. Installed by myself with no problems. Instructions were clear and understandable and after watching the etrailer video on installation really made it simple. The topper performed as desired all of last years camping. It was really nice that I did not have to clean any leaves or debris from the slide out the entire year. Very satisfied.
The toppers have done well and really kept our slides clean. I always smile when watching others on their ladders before packing up sweeping those slides. Raise a glass and remember when it was me.
The install was smooth and I would highly suggest the Lippert video to make sure you have a sense of the process steps because they are key. Making the correct final adjustments to avoid rubbing on you slide are crucial.
Definitely should have a helper as it makes the shaky hands of drilling into the side of your trailer much more secure. I would absolutely suggest these to anyone

Excellent product. Installed approximately one year ago and is still working well. Install was a breeze. I did have a couple of missing bolts; however, they were shipped quickly to me. I will definitely order more from etrailer in the future.

Update: slide out awning has performed as advertised, helped all the rain water go around the slide out opening, preventing any leaks. Worth every penny.
