To ensure you get the correct size awning for your slide-out, measure from outer edge to outer edge of the trim. You will need 7" of clearance on both sides of the slide-out for the awning. If you don't have 7" clearance on both sides, go down to the next size; this will still give your slide-out plenty of coverage.
If there are two slide-outs next to each other, you will need a total of 14" of clearance between them for them both to have a slide-out awning. Again, you can go down a size if you are low on space.
Without a slide-topper, the roof of your slide-out room is continually exposed and can accumulate leaves and bugs and different types of debris. That debris can build up along the rubber strip at the top of your box, preventing a firm seal when your slide-out is retracted. Rain water can then get in and pool on the top of your slide-out. If you don't clear the water off each time it rains, mold can begin to form. And when your slide-out is pulled in, that mold gets inside your RV.
The Solera RV slide-out awning alleviates those problems by serving as a protective covering over the top of your RV's slide-out. Not only does it prevent debris from collecting on the roof of your slide-out, but it keeps water from pooling and potentially causing damage down the road. Because it mounts directly to the front of the slide box, the slide-out awning is able to automatically extend and retract every time the slide-out room is extended or retracted.
The durable awning fabric holds up to the rigors of the outdoors. It's made of premium 13.5-oz vinyl, which is an upgrade over the 10-oz fabric used in many awnings. This fabric also features heat-welded seams to prevent leaks. And it is made to withstand cold temperatures down to -25 degrees Fahrenheit, so it won't crack or degrade during the winter.
Use the self-tapping screws to secure the included access plate to the side of your slide-out, positioning the plate at the bottom of the T-molding. The two access brackets slide easily onto the access plate's track. The rods that are located at each end of the roller tube, which comes with the awning fabric already mounted, slide through the hole in the two access brackets.
The included awning rail is used to anchor the other side of the fabric to your RV. This rail can be mounted up to 5" above the trim on top of your slide box.
Note: It's important that the slide-topper sits at as steep an angle as possible so that any rainwater will drain immediately. Any water that sits in the awning can stretch out the fabric permanently and warp it out of shape.

Having a slide-out cover makes getting ready on travel day so much easier. No more climbing on the roof and brushing off leaves and water.
Seems to have lost tension while extend ed
Received this 7' Lippert Solera Slide-Topper very quickly from etrailer. It came in a very strong tube with no shipping damage. My room measured 74" which was right on the border between a 6 1/2 and 7 Foot Topper. I went with the 7 foot and am happy with the additional coverage. I put it on by myself in about an hour and everything needed was included. This is a great improvement to our trailer.
Definitely watch the video on installation for some good pointers. A friend helped me install this, it took us a couple of hours but we took our time and wanted to make sure everything was sealed and done right. Great Saturday afternoon project though! I installed it on a 2018 KZ Escape 18' trailer for the dinette slide.
Mailing tube missing one end! Ends of slide topper paint missing! Had to sand and repaint!
We installed this slide topper a year ago and are very happy with it. It came with all the hardware and was mostly a 1 person install with a little help from my wife for the final step. It’s a nice value and good addition to our trailer. My wife made a removable canvas cover for it that protects the vinyl when the trailer is in storage.

A year later, still pleased with topper. Looks and works great Should be on every slide.
The fit was perfect, and quality of the awning was first class. The installation instructions and video made the installation easy.

It’s been a year since I installed the slide out awning. After dozens of nights camping it still looks great and performed without a hitch. Great product.
I ordered one size too long by mistake but it all worked out as it still fit with an overhang on the sides. Mounted easy and is working great so far.

Working great, no sag and wearing well. My RV is in the woods and the awning is out all the time.
Excellent product, excellent customer service. I have ordered several products from etrailer always a great experience. I will continue to use etrailer for all my rv needs. The slide topper was just as expected, fast shipping easy to install and works great.
Everything was good all hardware seems to be here and good instructions only one problem I ordered the wrong color but I will live with my mistake

We do have another color option that is the same exact awning. Part # LCV000168105 is black.
I had one of these on another trailer and liked it. Making brackets to mount on my rpod took some time but worked out OK.
This unit arrived with no damage to the shipping container. Some small scuffs were on the hardware, which to me indicates this was from the factory as all packaging was intacted. Each of the three slide toppers I received had small metal shavings throughout the unit. These were inside the internal packaging which indicates to me that this was from the factory.
I have had no problem with slide out awning works great and does the job it was meant to do
Was easy to install and looks great. Was camping in pine trees and rain so it did exactly what it was supposed to do, keep the slide out roof clean. Worth every penny!
I called the company and the person I spoke with was very nice and answered my question completely. I turned around and ordered the parts they came in good condition and good quality. It did take 6 days to receive the product which aint too bad. I would definitely order from this company again highly recommend

I have a fix for you to help restore the tension for your awning. You will want to remove the slide topper from the brackets and reroll the awning roller 14 times to add enough tension to the springs. You will also want to ensure the end caps are properly secured to keep the tension on your springs. If this does not help, please let me know.
