Efficient tube-fin core merges a 6-pass engine oil cooler with a 4-pass transmission fluid cooler for maximum benefit. Intended as replacement core for Derale combination transmission and engine oil cooler systems.

Features:

  • Can be used with any 2 automotive systems - transmissions, engines, fuel or power steering systems
    • Fluids flow through separate tubes inside the same core for effective, simultaneous cooling
  • Lowers fluid temperatures with heat-exchanging tube-fin construction
  • Designed with copper tubing expanded into aluminum fins for maximum heat transfer
    • Copper is the best material for conducting heat from the fluid, and aluminum is ideal for transferring and dissipating that heat
  • Protected from possible damage during installation by plastic fin guards
  • Functions as replacement part for Derale combination coolers:
    • Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler with Multiple Threads (D15902)
    • Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler for GM Applications (D15903)
  • Made in USA

Specs:

  • Inlets: 11/32" hose barb and 1/2" hose barb
  • Overall dimensions: 16-13/16" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 3/4" deep
  • Core length: 13-7/16"
  • Distance between 6-pass inlets: 6-1/4"
  • Distance between 4-pass inlets: 3-3/4"
  • 1-Year warranty

Perhaps the simplest type of heat exchanger, the tube-fin effectively cools a variety of automotive systems. The concept is simple: Fluid cools as it travels through the core by transferring heat out to the fins. The fins then provide the surface area necessary for sufficient heat exchange to take place, allowing the heat pulled from the fluid to dissipate into the surrounding air. Add to that Derale's unique turbulator technology - whereby fluids are agitated continuously to not only facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure - and you have an easy and effective cooling system.

  • Combination Transmission/Oil Cooler for 2010 Chevy Tahoe Towing Small TT from Arkansas to Alaska
The Derale combination transmission/engine oil cooler # D13302 would be an excellent choice for you, if you have the space available directly behind the grille to accommodate its 16-13/16" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 3/4" deep size. If you need something a bit smaller, you can go with the # D13222 which measures 12-13/16" wide x 10-1/4" tall x 3/4" deep. For the transmission cooler circuit, you'd need the # D13064 hardware kit and the # D13035 fitting. For the oil cooler circuit, you'd need...

  • Adding Combo Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler To 2006 Dodge Ram 2500
The Derale Remote Engine Oil Cooler # D15752 that you referenced is pre-set to activate the fan at 180 degrees. It will automatically turn off the fan at 165 degrees. When looking for a combo cooler, the best cooler for your vehicle is generally the largest cooler that will fit in front of the radiator. The largest combo cooler we carry is the Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler # D13302. This cooler measures 16-13/16 x 12-5/8 x 3/4 inches. The next largest cooler is the...

  • Best Solution for Lowering Vehicle Temperatures When Towing
The added stress from trailer towing usually shows up as an increased transmission temperature. We do offer Derale Class III transmission cooler # D12903 for your 5.3L Yukon XL which measures a generous 15-1/4 x 7-1/2. This can be mounted in front of your AC condenser to provide supplemental transmission cooling after the OEM cooler in the radiator...

I linked a drawing showing how the cooler will install and the best location for mounting the cooler on your MDX. • Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit # D15503 Recommendation
The most economically priced engine oil cooler we offer is the Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit # D15503, while is more expensive than the Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler # D13302 that you referenced it also includes all of the necessary fittings and adapters to install it on your vehicle that the # D13302 does not. I attached an FAQ article on engine oil coolers for you to check out also.

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan
Because it uses a cartridge style oil filter instead of a spin-on type, the sandwich adapter required to install an oil cooler can't be used therefore we don't have an option to install an oil cooler for your vehicle. This being said, newer engines do a very good job keeping the oil cool already, so in all honesty a cooler isn't really needed on your vehicle. You could indeed benefit from a transmission cooler, though. The best place to install a cooler is directly in front of the radiator,...

  • Installing Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler, Part # 13302, in a 2010 Honda Odyssey
The Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler Core, part # D13302, offers the convenience of being able to cool two engine fluids within one single housing. The protocol for cooling engine fluids is generally to cool the engine oil as a first priority, followed by the transmission fluid, and then the power steering fluid. Coolers are not vehicle-specific, meaning that you can use the largest one that will fit in the space available in front of your air-conditioning system condenser....

  • Are Transmission Engine Oil and Power Steering Coolers Needed For Towing with a 2007 Honda Pilot
Since the manufacturer recommends these aftermarket additions for your Pilot, we cannot suggest differently. The thing to remember is that if you do add these items and a warranty issue comes up, you have shown that you took the proper steps to ensure that your vehicle would perform properly so warranty service should not be a question. Another thing to consider is that heat is the enemy of your engine, transmission, and power steering. Using a cooler will dissipate more heat and prolong...
