This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.excellent hitch! Install was easy. Just a little tight to mount on the drivers side. Had to wiggle it and use a little persuasion to get it in. ( see photos ) The only other problem was the rear kick feature for the rear hatch door. It worked fine with the hitch installed but no longer works after I installed the trailer wiring harness. I thinks its because of the 4 way flat trailer connector and the green tail light wires that run underneath the bumper. I believe they are causing interference.
This is the 4th Class III Curt hitch purchased in the past 10 years from etrailer. We currently have Curt hitches on a 2020 Ford Explorer and a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander. We use this hitch with a Hollywood Racks bike rack for 4 bikes, also purchased from etrailer. We also HAD Curt Class III hitches on a 2011 Dodge Nitro and 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and never had any issues or trouble after thousands of miles of use. Curt hitches are highly recommended for those who buy SUVs that do not come standard with a Class III hitch. A+++

Received this today. Packaging was torn up and not sufficient for shipping. Once I received it I went straight to install. It took approximately 30 minutes and that included time to find tools and put them away. One thing is that the driver side is extremely tight. I had to remove the muffler bracket to have room to slide receiver into place. Might have taken an extra minute but saved probably 10 minutes. Overall it is an exceptional product and I would order it again.
Great product. Very satisfied even after one year of ownership. If you’re on the fence about purchasing go for it.

I managed to install this by myself by using two sepeLOL. floor Jack's. The bolt holes lined up perfectly. I would recommend this to others. I am not a mechanic, just a weekend warrior Lol.
Installed perfectly on my 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Did not need to remove the exhaust to install the driver's side. To install the passenger side, I had to remove the obstructing pump and pump bracket, which I think are electric powertrain components specific to the PHEV models. After removing those it was no trouble to get the 3/4" rachet wrench on the bolts to tighten them.
Post install hitch looks great and feels super solid. Stoked on this purchase!

Hitch is very well built. This was a great price for this product as I searched several places and etrailer has everyone beat. The website is very user friendly and selecting the correct hitch was simple.
Installation was fairly easy as others mentioned. I would definitely recommend 2 people to install. I did not have to lower the exhaust, though that may have made it simpler. You will want to install the drivers’ side first as you have to snake around the exhaust without damaging it and may have to use a rubber mallet on the hitch to get the holes to line up as it is a snug fit. The bolts are fairly easy to access on both sides.
The hitch fits great avoiding all the extra body pieces and parts and has a very low profile. The “hands free” trunk sensor was partially obstructed, but still works fine. You may have to turn off your rear sensors once you place a cargo basket or bike rack on as it will beep non-stop.

The trailer hitch was delivered exactly on the date expected, and installed the next day. It fit like a glove and was very easy to install, even for a guy like myself with no mechanical experience. With the help of a friend to more easily hold the bar in place while installing, it fit in there pretty snug. We had to use a small pry-bar to get it over the edge on one side, but it worked really well. You could maybe muscle it up there, but the pry-bar made it much easier. The bolts screwed in easily as well. Overall install took about 30 minutes or so, mostly just screwing in the 6 bolts. Used it immediately with a new trailer hitch mounted cargo carrier and that fit perfectly. Excellent price and easy to install!
Fit perfectly, I actually have a 2024 mitsubishi outlander se, I called the manufacture to see if the 2023 would fit. The numbers were the same. I actually didn't have to drop the exhaust. If you turn it just right with two people it will slide up in. Package was Gamache from shipping some scratches but hitch was fine.

Item arrived fairly fast like within 2 days. The item was not damaged although the Box did have a hole in it from the weight of the receiver which is kind of to be expected all of the bolts and hardware and instructions were there it was very easy to put on took me about 30 minutes and you do not have to drop the exhaust you just have to put the left side on first over top the exhaust and then the right side you just have to use a little bit of strength and push it up on there so you can get the bolts then once that's done the six bolts go in Fairly easily and the hitch is on and working perfect. Thank you etrailer for allowing me to order this part as the dealer wanted $1,500 for a new one which was basically the same. I would say difficulty in installing was just a matter of getting up under your vehicle if you can jack one side up or the other or the back and put jack stands that makes it easier I was able to lay on the ground and do it myself without a problem helps to be a little bit flexible. I would say pretty much anyone could put that hitch on it's very simple. Thanks again and I will order more products from you in the near future. Move on to something else

Still as good as new working perfect and I have not had any problems with it. Thanks again for the customer service and the follow-up and the quality product that I purchased.
Hitch was easy to mount in 1h on 2023 Outlander PEHV 40thEd. No need to drop the exhaust just unscrew the pump on the other side (2 screws cups).Easy access from the floor no need to lift the car. Kick feature for the rear hatch door run good on both sides of the center of the hitch (kick no swipe!).

Curt makes a nice hitch. I’ve bought a few. First purchase from etrailer. They seem like a good company. Easy to deal with.

Hitch was easy to install and works well. It does partially block the hands free lift gate sensor, but not a big deal. I bought the factory wiring harness and that was time consuming to install.
Fast shipping, we haven’t installed it yet but the shipping g experience was excellent!
Greetings; I just received the order, but it arrived with scratches and bumps. Likewise, the box presented the blows that he had suffered during the trip. For my part, I think that in the end they put a lid on it so that the box could reach its destination. What can I do about respect? I attach photos of evidence.

No good.
Box is damage parts. Parts of the hitch broke through. There is some scratches and paint gloss. I haven’t taken a completely out of the box yet tomorrow I just installed and we’ll see if there’s any other damage.

Receive the wrong item. I ordered a trailer hitch and the tail light converter. I received 2 tail light converters and not the trailer hitch even after I called to resolve this matter. It’s over a month now and still don’t have the trailer hitch.

We recently sent you a new hitch and were wondering if you had any feedback about the product for other shoppers?
It looks a great product. However I have not yet install it on my outlander.
The package could be better. Even the box had holes, product didn’t damage.
Last thing, 15 mins after I received the product Carol sent me an email and asked me to review. Carol this is called bullying!!! You should give time to your customers and if they want, they’ll review.

Excellent product, I received it sooner than expected, I installed it right away. Probably the easiest hitch I have ever installed. I think in the past customers complained about packaging and received scratched hitches, etrailer must have listened, this one was boxed up with extra protection in all the right areas, not a mark on it!!! Flawless!!! Thank You!!!

Product is still functioning properly. The harness wires cause some interference when trying to open the rear hatch door with the kick feature.
