2001 Toyota Tacoma

Excellent website. Easy easy to find what you need for your truck year. Mine was a 2001 Tacoma. Had 6 bolt holes that were to line up perfectly but only 4 of mine did. They landed exactly where my original tow hooks were. The instructions that came with my front mount 2" reciever even showed the torque amounts. Quality quality material, welds and bolts. Took me about 20 minutes to do the job. Floor Jack put it right where I needed it. I did have to cut a little plastic valance tab to line everything up. I have an original NC frame. No rust here. No way to ream out a 9/16" hole to make the last two bolts line up. When I was done with the install I jacked up the whole front of my truck off the ground from the front reciever. Worked perfect. Strong. Very happy. Now to talk the wife into a "Badlands" winch. Hahahah

2003 Toyota Tacoma

Ordered the front-trailer hitch receiver for my 2003 Toyota Tacoma, and it arrived in 2 days! My son and I wasnable to install it in 20 minutes. It came with the bolts, washers and nuts needed. Matched up perfectly as if it was a factory add-on.

2004 Toyota Tacoma

This was my second hitch purchased from etrailer.
This was a front hitch for 2004 Tacoma. Took some fussing to get a pair of holes to aline. But instructions pointed that out. But once on, the hitch sits nice on the truck and will be great for my snow plow.
The other hitch was for a Chevy Cruze and that fit perfect. Great products and fast delivery. Thanks

2004 Toyota Tacoma

Have nice hitch, easy to install. But one word of caution.. if your tacoma has had the frame replaced the drill over size hole may need to be relocated by 1/2+- inch. But other than that it was pretty much straight forward

Very nice! Use it for winch

The front holes that needed to be enlarged do not line up on my 2001 Tacoma. I needed to mark and drill new holes

You mentioned that you had to drill new holes on the frame. I wanted to see if you would be able to send a pictures.

by:

Product appears to be very well made. delivery was excellent and timely. The hitch was packaged very well. Problem is I did not know the installation would require I drill out the existing hole in the truck frame to make a larger 11/16 hole. This requires me to buy a drill bit of that size for an additional $[XX]. Additionally, installation requires I remove the existing tow hook and I hope that can be done without a problem on a 17 yer old truck. The installation instructions could be a bit more clear about how the bolts and rivet nuts are assembled and attached to the frame

by:

Solid product, great support.

by:

I absolutely love it, installation was as expected, other than 2 of the slotted holes had to be made bigger to enable the supplied bolts to fit through. I get it, production line items, sh.. happens.

by:

It's the great company to do business with wouldn't think twice to order from them again product is very high quality

Product is exactly as described. Ric k

  • Does Curt Front Mount Hitch Fit 2000 or 2001 Toyota Tacoma
The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31013 does fit 2001 Toyota Tacoma, but does not fit the 2000 Toyota Tacoma or its frame. The Tacoma had a facelift for the 2001 model year which is why the fit is different between the '00 and '01 for the Curt # C31013.

  • Availability of Part Number 31013
Hey Lou, so we have two replacement parts that reference the number 31013. We have the winch stand part # CE31013G and the Curt front hitch # C31013. Do you have something different?

  • Differences Between Detail K2 and Detail K2 Elite Snow Plows For a 2003 Toyota Tacoma
Yes, the difference between the Detail K2 Snowplow # K2AVAL8422 and Detail K2 Elite Snowplow # K2AVAL8422ELT is the Elite has the electric actuator over the winch. The Elite also uses a chain connection to the blade while the basic K2 has a strap that is more likely to become damaged. The electric actuator is superior to the winch. It operates faster, smoother and it has a built in clutch that will protect against damage that a winch would cause. The actuator won't be able to lift the blade...

  • Front Mount Trailer Hitch Recommendations for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner TRD
We have two options for front mount hitches specifically designed for your 2003 Toyota Tacoma and neither of them state that the skid plate will have to be removed for installation. First is the Curt Hitch, # C31013. This hitch mounts to the bottom of the frame rails. Unless your transmission cooler is mounted there the hitch will not interfere. Next is the Draw-Tite Hitch, # 65041. This hitch attaches to the bottom of the frame rails and also has 1 attachment point on the outside of each...

  • How Much Ground Clearance Will Be Lost With C31013 Installed On Vehicle
We have not yet had a chance to test fit the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch part # C31013 on a vehicle specifically a Toyota Tacoma. So I would not be able to tell you exactly how much ground clearance is lost. However, I went out the warehouse and measured the brackets and they are 5" tall. If you measure 5" down from your frame in the front of the vehicle that is where the hitch will sit.

  • Will Transmission Cooler Or Skid Plate Interfere With Installation Of Front Hitch on 2001 Tacoma
You can check the frame on your 2001 Tacoma as shown in the attached instructions to see where a front mount hitch # C31013 and # 65041 is installed. In the instructions it does state you have to remove the tow hooks and they will not be re-installed. The instructions do not mention a front skid plate. I called my contact at Draw-Tite and they said there are no complaints or concerns about the skid plate on the Tacoma. The transmission cooler lines would be the only thing that may interfere...

  • Draw Tite Hitch that Fits 2001 4Runner SR5 4WD
For your 2001 Toyota Tacoma we have the Draw Tite hitch part # 75078 as realistically the easiest fitting hitch that is a confirmed fit. The bumper does need to temporarily come off but it's more of a time consuming aspect vs. a difficulty type thing. This is the only hitch of the ones you listed which I can guarantee as a fit.

  • Front Trailer Hitch Receiver For Transporting a Dirt Bike With a 2004 Toyota Tacoma
Yes, the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31013 will be sufficient to carry your 280lb dirt bike with the 60lb carrier on your 2004 Toyota Tacoma. I do recommend using the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs # CSS-1125F to provide additional support to your front suspension. The front suspension on your Tacoma is not designed like the rear suspension that is there to carry additional weight. The SumoSprings will insert into your current coils and provide additional support...

  • Can CURT Font Mount Trailer Hitch C31013 Be Mounted on a 2001 Toyota Tacoma with a Grille Guard
You have done the right thing by reading the installation instructions. Since CURT Front Mount Receiver, # C31013, was not tested on vehicles with any type of grille guard, the only way to determine fit is to look at the instructions for both parts. In the CURT instructions which I have linked for reference, you will see that at the front frame rails of your 2001 Toyota Tacoma there should be 3 holes. The front most hole is just a hole that will be enlarged to install the hitch. The 2...

  • Front-Mount Hitch for 2004 Toyota Tacoma for Use with Hitch-Mount Cargo Carrier
Neither the Curt # D210 nor the similar dual-receiver extender # D-192 can be used with a trailer weight distribution system. Makers of WD systems warn against this practice; use of any type of hitch extender/adapter is unsafe with a WD system since it will shift the point where the trailer tongue weight is applied and could result in hitch damage. Hitch capacity is only reduced if the receiver portion only is used on D210. There may be a front-mount hitch made for your tow vehicle and...
