  • Does The Demco Actuator DM72VR Require Two Or Three Bolts For Installation?
Two bolts will be sufficient for installing the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM72VR. You will want to use two Requires 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" Grade-5 of Grade-8 bolts. Personally I would use something like the Curt Coupler Hardware Kit # C25388. While you certainly could drill a 3rd hole and use a 3rd bolt, it is not required.

  • Preferred Method For Bolting On A Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator DM72VR
You can certainly go ahead and re use the existing 2 bolts, provided they are in good condition. The fish wire method shown in the video works too, but it is also very common to just use the two bolts like your old Atwood actuator. Personally I would use something like the Curt Coupler Hardware Kit # C25388 for installing the # DM72VR actuator. So if the existing bolts are similar grade 8 bolts, you will be good to go. While you certainly could drill a 3rd hole and use a 3rd bolt, it is...

  • Recommended Hardware For Installing Curt 3" Straight Tongue 2" Ball Coupler
For your Curt Coupler 25138 which is similar to their Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler # C54UR, they recommend using grade 5, 1/2" bolts and nuts. If you have an open channel on your straight tongue trailer you will need to use 4 bolts and nuts. This hardware is available at a local hardware store.

  • How Do I Install The C13800 Coupler If The Tongue Only Has One Hole
Hello Anibal. The Trailer Coupler # C13800 does require 2 bolts for mounting to the tongue. If your trailer only has 1 bolt hole, a second hole will need to be drilled. The mounting holes need to be 3" apart on center. I am not sure how the original coupler was only installed with 1 bolt, but you will definitely need to add a second hole. For hardware I recommend you use the Curt Channel-Mount Coupler Hardware Kit # C25388.
