Very
solid construction, easy to install.

1990 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Prompt delivery. Exactly as described. Everything needed for installation with precise instructions. Perfect fit and receiver is flush with bumper. Truck is rated for 5000 lbs, but will only be used for 3000 lb boat or small utility trailer. Thanks again, you guys are great.

I have towed boat and utility trailers 500 miles and have had no problems.

by:

I purchased the wrong one by mistake. I have duel exhaust and the one with the inner lip doesn’t fit so i returned it. And they charge w $40 but I tried to exchange it for the right one. I think that was unfair after all I just wanted the right one other than that it’s a nice hitch no pictures I’m not all the way satisfied

Great I received the wrong item at first but they replaced it I think they charge me for a return I’m not sure

by:

Product installation was super easy.
Basically
plug in and go.
No wire nuts or flimsy connectors that are just a source of corrosion.

Working great! The finish has held up great despite living on a gravel road.

What can one possibly say about a trailer hitch? It works, that's the bottom line.
The last hitch I had that came with my truck 22 years ago, had rusted so bad inside the receiver tube that the ball mount simply could not be removed, they had rusted together so bad even a torch wouldn't remove them. So when I got the new receiver I coated it inside with "never cease", a compound that's prevents rusting. Hopefully this will work for the next 22 years

by:

It took a couple of new holes in the frame of the truck and a transmission jack to lift and position (it was heavy), it's mounted and really solid. I've pulled my travel trailer, a loaded car hauler and pulled heavy Oak logs out of some timber. I would NOT trade it for a different kind. If I break anything it won't be the hitch.

by:
1994 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Fit perfectly onto our truck and installation was easy. I am not sure if this was an issue with specifically our truck but the two holes for the middle mount positions had to be drilled to make them larger to accept the provided bolts. Have been hauling all sorts of stuff since receiving and has done great. The only negative I have on the receiver is that the loops for the chains slightly interfere with the pin for the hitch. I need to lift the pin to get it out of the way to attach the chains.

Overall it does a great job, easy to install, and was a great price.

1991 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Great hitch. Took me a lot longer than 2 hours because my truck has aftermarket dual exhaust. The mufflers were in the way so I had to cut off the muffler hangers to move the pipes so the hitch would line up. Had to mess with raising the spare tire because the crossover pipe from one muffler to the other was in the way & the front of the hitch was in the way also. Had to line up the spare tire as I raised it. Will be going to the muffler shop so they can reline everything. After all that, the hitch bolted on with no problem. I love how well made the Curt hitch is. My truck is a 1991 Silverado 1500 with step bumper.

by:

Great product, bolted right in. Took 30 minutes to install. Great product!

by:

Easy to install. Has performed flawlessly. Shows no sign of weather after a year if use in a northern Nevada.

by:

Working great. Still looks good and holding up in the Wyoming oil field. Thanks again.

by:

One year later and the hitch looks the same as it did the day I installed it.

Etrailer is the best place to get affordable planned trailer parts.

by:

Most excellent. Fit up exactly as it should have with all the right hardware.
Excellent value.
Will work just right for pulling my motorcycle in a 5’ X 10’ wells cargo trailer.

by:

This hitch is what I was looking for.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13042 is a confirmed fit for your 1992 GMC 1500 4WD truck. There is no drilling needed for this hitch installation, but you will need to lower your spare tire for installation. If you don't already have trailer wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118315 which is confirmed to fit your truck. • Which Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1992 Chevrolet CK 1500 With Standard Bumper
I have another option but the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13942 will not fit on your 1992 Chevrolet CK 1500 if you do not have a roll pan. This is due to the fact that the roll pan hitches sit higher up and require a cut out in the roll pan for the hitch. With your standard bumper the hitch would be behind the bumper instead of under it. As long as you have a standard rear bumper I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13042 which will put the receiver tube under the bumper,...

  • Class III Hitch for 1994 Chevy K1500 That Allows Spare Tire to Remain Stowed Under Vehicle
According to Curt, their # C13042 Class III hitch you'd looked at will allow a stock size spare tire on a 15 or 16 inch wheel to stow under the vehicle once the hitch is installed. To ease installation, it's recommended that the spare tire be removed or lowered for easier access to the frame rails. To install a 4 pole trailer connector, use part # 118315 or use # 20023 for a 7-way.

I spoke with my contact at Curt regarding your 1999 Chevy C1500 pickup with the extended cab and standard bumper. This Class III trailer hitch has a towing capacity of 6,000 pounds and will provide a 2 inch receiver opening. Just note that the spare tire will need to be lowered or removed temporarily...

  • Best Priced Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 1988 Chevy Truck
Our lowest price hitch that is a confirmed fit for your 1988 Chevy truck is the Curt part # 13028 which would work well for you. It has a 6,000 lb total trailer weight capacity though so as long as that 5,700 lb figure includes the trailer you would be good. Otherwise you would have to go with a higher rated hitch like the Draw Tite part # 41901 which is also a confirmed fit.
