Recommended Class III Trailer Hitch for 1996 GMC Sierra C1500 with Full Size Spare Tire
Question:
Im looking for a class 3 trailer hitch for a 1996 gmc c1500 single cab 6ft stepside bed. The hitch needs to be long enough so the spare tire can still fit underneath the truck. I tried a draw tite 75099, the bolt holes lined up but the spare couldnt fit back underneath

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13042 is what I recommend for a 1996 GMC Sierra C1500. This hitch features a bolt-on design with hidden crosstube. I checked with Curt and this hitch will work on models with a factory full-size spare tire so it will work well for you.
