Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the replacement remote for the air lift wireless one compressor system. This unit replaces the wireless, handheld digital controller for air lift wireless one compressor system for air helper strings part number AL25870. Now with this wireless controller, you can operate your system from inside or outside the cab of your vehicle, and adjust the air pressure of the springs as needed. The built-in clip allows you to easily mount the remote to the visor in your vehicle. You can customize the display color of the controller's built-in gauge. Just choose one of the controller's backlight colors.I do need to point out that batteries are not included, so those will need to be provided separately, and this unit requires two CR2032 three volt batteries.

That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement remote for the air lift wireless one compressor system.

The fact I had to replace the wireless remote did not make me terribly happy. At this point I’ve had to replace the compressor, the manifold, and the remote on my Wireless One system. If I had to do it over, I would simply install the system with the switch and pressure gauge in the cab. Much more reliable. All you might have to replace is the compressor, but better compressors are available. When the system works, it’s great to increase or decrease the pressure in the air bags with the remote, but not reliable enough to be worth it.

The replacement remote for my Wireless One system did not work for me I ended up abandoning the wireless controller and installed a Load Controller which consists of a switch for pumping up or bleeding air out the system and a pressure gauge. This works better for me and is more durable and reliable. You can easily control the pressure in the system from the cab of the vehicle. In retrospect, I wish I had gone with this setup to begin with as the Wireless One system is not reliable. Thanks to etrailer for helping me find the right controller for my system.

@Kevin We're sorry that the Wireless One system didn't work, but we're happy to hear that you found a solution that works for you!

Madison was very helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed. My remote control arrived 1 day later. Great customer service! The rest of the business world could learn something from etrailer customer service!

I love my Wireless One , one of the best mods I’ve done to my motorhome. The airbag fill valves are in the storage compartments and are a real pain to fill and check pressures. I connected the compressor to the coach batteries with a second relay to a rocker switch next to my battery disconnect. Fantastic, now it’s simple to try different pressures for the best ride.

My Wireless 1 is still working great after a year, still the best mod I’ve done,

The detailed reprogramming guide allowed the replacement remote to be programmed for the older system on the truck. Tremendous support.

Its been one year and the unit is working great.

by:

Instruction where included and where very easy to follow. Performed the necessary step one time through and the remote connected. Once connected I gave the compressor a whirl and the remote worked. This is a replacement for one I ran over......

Its fantastic! Thanks etrailer.

by:

Works good. I'm happy with it.

I recently bought a truck that had an Airlift system but the dealership lost the remote. This replacement was exactly what I needed. Although no instructions were included, I was able to locate them in line. This remote works great.

This replacement remote part # AL72704 takes 2 CR2032 button cell batteries or commonly referred to as watch batteries. Use a small flat screwdriver to separate the two halves of the key fob by prying at the internal clips on the right side of the fob. Stack the two CR2032 batteries positive to negative inside the rear cover. Clip the front cover and circuit board into the rear cover. To sync the remote, turn the ignition on. Locate the yellow sync wire it will be looped with a yellow cap around it. Remove the yellow wire from the cap. Disconnect power to the receiver. Unplug the connector at the top. Connect power to the receiver while grounding the sync input. Listen for 3 clicks of the internal solenoid, then one click every second. The click per second means the system is in sync mode. Sync mode lasts for 30 seconds so quickly press any button on the remote. Once the receiver has received a message it will sync with that transmitter and stop clicking the solenoid in 1 second intervals. Reinstall the yellow wire terminal into the molded cap.

by:

Remote works fine, but the pairing process was a pain because, for me, the instructions were lacking 1 critical piece of information...the remote needed to be at 3ft away from the wireless manifold in order for it to sync. When held closer than that, which was easier and more convenient, it simply wouldn't sync. My wireless manifold is mounted on my truck's frame in a spot that's protected but not easy to reach. I got everything organized together up under the truck, followed the included instructions, and it wouldn't sync. Followed slightly different instructions that I found on etrailer & elsewhere, and it still wouldn't sync. I was on the verge of giving up when I recalled a similar situation that I encountered while trying to pair a new garage door opener remote. Those trouble shooting instruction recommended keeping the remote at least 3ft away from the garage door opener. So, I repositioned the manifold so that I could try pairing this remote at an arm's distance, and it paired instantly...problem solved!

by:

The thing came pretty fast! It came with very good and detailed instructions on how to sync it. I Will definitely buy through a etrailer.com again.

by:

If only an e-trailer review then 5 stars, for total customer experience 4 due to shipping methods.

Previous owner of truck when I purchased had lost this remote. The only place I could find to purchase a replacement remote only was here at e-trailer. It was easy and clear which one to purchase by the model. It was in stock and shipped within a couple business days. I received exactly what was described and what the picture showed. Upon receiving it, it was packaged well and came with nice color picture instructions that were very clear and well written. I had it connected to my air lift system with 15 minutes of receiving it and after following the instructions the first time.

The shipping method of USPS is a different experience and next time I would have paid an extra dollar or two to go with UPS ground (not $10) or similar. It was a guess as to where it was and when it would arrive until a few hours before my mail person had it in my mailbox. The initial expected delivery date was off by a few days. At the end of the day all is well and I would order again.

by:

It was ok I have problems with it draining the battery's because of it not cutting off . It may have been the way I put the battery's in I don't know . Quick question I have a guy looking for the air lift 5000 what is you guys price in that ? The whole kit bags and all I assume with the same remote as I have

by:

Working as presented. Extremely difficult to get the remote to sync with the airlift manifold. I had to perform it over 7 times before it finally synced. Only time will tell to see if it remains synced.

There are not necessarily any tricks to getting the Replacement Remote for Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System, # AL72704 synced, but according to the Air Lift Installation Guide, this is a the best step by step method to follow. 1. Turn ignition on. 2. Locate the sync wire in the wire harness. It will be the yellow wire that is looped with a yellow cap around it. 3. Remove the yellow wire from the cap leaving the cap attached to the harness. 4. Disconnect power to the receiver. Unplug the connector on the top. 5. Connect power to the receiver while grounding the sync input. 6. Listen for 3 clicks of the internal solenoid, then one click every second. This will indicate that you are now in the sync mode. Sync mode will last for 30 seconds total. Within the 30 seconds press any button on the transmitter to send a message to the receiver. Once the receiver has received a message it will sync with that transmitter and stop clicking the solenoid in 1 second intervals. 7. Re the yellow wire terminal into the molded cap.

by:

I've got to wonder if there's a another (better) way to marry the remote to the manifold. After trying to get it to work several times with the directions provided, I called & was sent additional instructions. With them, I was able to get the remote to work. Note: I've worked in electronics my whole life, eiher following or writing test instructions.

by:

Needed a replacement remote for my AirLift system due to loss. I scoured the internet seeking a replacement and the only place that had them available was etrailer. When I called etrailer the phone was answered quickly and professionally by Lori, whom I thought was going to forward the call to a product specialist. It was not the case, Lori handled my questions and had the answers I was hoping to hear, (ie) the part was in stock, 35% lower then an alternative local source (that was going to have to order it from the manufacture) and able to ship next day mail. I ordered the part X2 at 3pm AZ time and received them before noon the following day.
etrailer is now my first choice for my RV/Truck needs.
Great job Lori!

PS. If you use air bags on your tow vehicle and don't have a way to manually deflate them when unhooking. Think about buying a spare remote, the truck will chase the trailer up when attempting to decouple.

by:

Great remote, a little confusing on the syncing with the compressor, but etrailer responded and reached out by phone after hours on a Friday to help me. Great customer service.

by:

The first remote quit in less than a year. The replacement remote works intermittent. The compressor had to be replaced under warranty.
Would stay away from this brand. Cheaply made
to work only as long as the warranty.

by:

I knew the controller didn't come with batteries or instructions, but i can't help feeling short changed by that fact. Otherwise, I followed the great instructions provided by the awesome staff at etrailer and got it going pretty quickly once I got home with the required batteries.

by:

I had lost my other remote, received this one as a replacement.

While it was a good price, do not be in a hurry to receive it. Shipping was slow and it was odd that they called to verify information, also slowing delivery.

Remote was identical to the original. Easy to program.

by:

Perfect replacement for my Air Lift One compressor. Super easy to pair with the manifold. Batteries were dead upon arrival, but who cares. Fresh batteries and all is perfect.

by:

First they sent us the wrong remote. The second remote we got in a box not taped shut and inside was the remote in 2 pieces and batteries were floating around. Remote seems to work at this point. Customer service was great every time.

by:

I was also surprised this remote didn't come with batteries. Be specific saying that it isn't included. Also some simple programming directions would be nice instead of me looking it up.
