Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Reese Sidewinder custom wedge for 2009 and newer Pro series 15K, 16K, and 20K fifth wheels. Now, a fifth wheel wedge is a simple but reliable way to allow a fifth wheel hitch to be used with a fifth wheel Sidewinder pin box. This customer wedge will bolt in place of a universal wedge on the pin box. Provides a new pivot point for the king pin and a wider turn radius for the fifth wheel trailer. Now, to keep the pin box from swiveling at the fifth wheel hitch head, this custom wedge, which is bolted on the pin box, will insert into the hitch head and then locks the pin box into place. Since the pivot point is then moved towards the rear or your tow vehicle, you can easily make 90 degree turns even with a short bed truck.
Now, this fifth wheel wedge is designed to fit the 2009 and new Pro series 15K, 16K, and 20K fifth wheels and it will accommodate the Sidewinder, or the 5th Airborne Sidewinder pin boxes. If you notice, it has a nice durable carbide black powder coat finish on it to resist corrosion. And this part will include everything shown here on the table. The wedge itself and the mounting bolts to install it.But that should do it for the review on the Reese Sidewinder custom wedge for 2009 and newer Pro series 15K, 16K, and 20K fifth wheels.

I bought the side winder king pin 6 months ago, but the wedge that came with it would not work with my hitch. I didn't install it until I had this wedge. This wedge worked perfectly along with the side winder.
Having a short bed truck is not ideal for 5th wheel towing unless you have a sliding hitch, which I did, but I had issues with it. With the Reese side winder solved that issue.
90 degree turns with side winder. You have to reconnect (5th wheel) at same angle you disconnected at.
If you order side winder king pin make sure they send or request the correct wedge.
Overall I am very happy with the Reese Side winder King Pin!
This completely changed my camping life. I use to stress having to hook up with the wedge that came with the Reese revolution kingpin. It use to take me 10 to 20 mins to get hooked up. With this new wedge I'm hooked in first try with out any stress. I always thought it was me doing something wrong only to find out the factory wedge was not compatible with my hitch. Greatest purchase I've made so far for my 5th wheel

This wedge is very substantionally built. I did have to grind a very small amont of material off this wedge to get my slide to go by it and lock in. It works fine now.I am very pleased with the products and customer service I get from etrailer. So much so that I have already ordered a new hitch from them at a FANTASTIC price!

It works great. I never have to worry about hitting the cab of my truck with my trailer. I did buy a new truck with a little longer bed but have elected to keep the sidewinder even though I probably don’t need it just for the added insurance that I won’t hit my truck cab with my trailer.
Product works as expected. On the other hand the service at etrailer is incredible. I had questions so I called instead of ordering online. Very helpful and pleasant representative and the order got to me a day sooner than expected. A repeat of the outstanding service I got a couple years ago on a 5th wheel sidewinder I ordered!

No more fighting to hitch or unhitch trailer like when the universal wedge was installed.

Wedge is working perfectly
Had the flexair pin box on a slider. I hated having to stop get out and slide the hitch back just to make a sharp turn. So I decided to go with the Airborne Sidewinder. So far it I has been a great hitch and I’m very pleased with its performance. Now I can make better than 90 degree turns anytime anywhere.
I received my hitch work very quickly and right to the front door. It was exactly what I wanted/needed and the customer service from etrailer was outstanding. The call was quick and efficient. Highly recommend etrailer for all your hitch needs.
Worked fine with a 16k Reese pro series sliding fifth wheel and the Reese revolution. Installed it this morning.

I had the universal wedge and was having trouble hitching and. Unhitching. I installed the 30850 wedge for pro series hitch and could not believe what a difference it made. Good product!
