This fully welded, corrosion-resistant vehicle trailer hitch receiver is perfect for your light-duty towing needs. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. Drawbar sold separately.

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Not hard to put on looks great. Getting hole over the muffler took some time. Tried drilling like the video, no good. The tried cutoff wheel, still no room. Got small air saw and it was a snap, made two slits and bent it out of the way and bam. Would have been under an our had I used the air saw from the start. Great price and good quality hitch. You don't need a class III on a CR-V as you can't tow anything that big anyway, just unnecessary extra weight. This hitch is perfect.
After watching an internet video showing how to install the trailer hitch and wiring harness, the whole process was very easy. I did change things a little in that I used dish detergent (instead of whatever spray the video used) to lubricate the rubber bushings which hold up the exhaust system. They slid off fairly easily. In my 2000 CR-V there is a covered storage pocket on the floor right beneath the speaker where the wiring harness plugs in (see photograph). There is a plastic fastener which attaches the cloth pocket to the plastic sidewall. I removed the fastener and lifted up the pocket. After plugging the trailer wire into the connector at the speaker, I fed the trailer end of the wire harness in back of the plastic sidewall and down and out into the pocket. I put the cloth liner back and this pocket serves as a great place to store the wire harness when not in use. This alternate procedure removed the necessity of unfastening the plastic sidewall and the transom on the tail of the car -- two things which did not want to come loose anyway. So, with a few modifications everything worked great and the trailer now rides behind my CR-V!
I'm still waiting for the hitch to be delivered, as I just ordered it a few days ago, but I've ordered numerous other hitches and miscellaneous items from them before with issues, and I expect the same thing from this item ordered
Shipping on time, super easy to install. Great product.
It arrived at exactly when you said it would.
It took me 2 1/2 hours to install, because I had to enlarge holes quite a bit. I ended up using a cutoff wheel grinder to be able to get bolts through the holes. It fit perfectly. Instructions were adequate.
The wires were very helpful. Bending over the ends is very helpful to get wire to slide down the frame to the hole. Watching the videos is very helpful. Using WD-40 on the rubber muffler hangers made them easier to slide off n on.
Trailer hitch bolted up to my CRV with no issues. Extremely fast shipping.
The 24790 trailer hitch for my 1998 CR-V is the best improvement I've made. It fit perfectly. You have to attach the center bolt first and then draw up the two sides bolts. The light hitch & receiver remind you that the CR-V is not made for heavy loads. I use a Hitch-Haul with it, loading a maximum of 200 lbs. The Hitch-Haul is stable on 6" rock, gravel, and improved roads in the mountains at 4-7,000 feet, perfect for an elk hunt. Thanks, etrailer, for a great product at a great price.

Great, George, Ive installed three of them over the years. I always have a difficulty of some kind, but you guys always have an answer. Its working great on all there vehicles.
The hitch is compatible to Honda CR-V (model 1998) and apparently fits well. One must be careful to adjust the exhaust system and check the engine rotation for smooth operation, otherwise it could produce noise. The electrical wiring is easy to install with little effort. My purpose is specifically to haul garden and landscaping items and this is a worth spending.
The class 1 trailer hitch was just what I needed to pull my small utility trailer. The draw tite hitch is well made and was easy to install. The only problem I had was the instructions that came with the hitch. They were useless. If it wasn't for the video on the etrailer web site I would have been lost. The video gives you step by step instructions. After viewing the video it only took me about 30 minutes to install the hitch.

It is doing great
I called Etrailer late on a Friday afternoon (6:30 PM) not expecting a real live person to answer. But, there she was, not only a real person, but an Etrailer employee! In just minutes, the hitch was ordered, with a delivery day of the following Wed. Delivery day met: PERFECT! The unit fit our Honda 2000 CRV like a glove. Easy installation. Trailer ready now for towing our 9 1/2 foot wooden sailing skiff. I would certainly and highly recommend this Etrailer product and personal to all interested in a great experience. Many Thanks.

P E R F E C T !!!!!! Many Thanks !
Hitch install only took 20 minutes. I Have installed 3 similar hitches (2 Honda CR-V ,1 Honda Civic) . Draw-tite hitches are
usually easy to install, with no holes to
drill . All hitches were purchased from
Etrailer for their competitive prices and
customer service and fast shipping..
Thanks again!

Works great - no problems!
Couldn’t be happier with the service and the product!
I will definitely be stopping here first in the future!
The hitch and wiring harness were both just fine. I had an auto technician install, but I think it was fairly simple.
Not sure how it happened, but the wiring harness wasn't shipped with the hitch as originally ordered. Once I figured that out, etrailer sent me the harness ASAP - no questions asked. I appreciated the fast, cordial service.
Purchased this town hitch a year ago. Took about 25 minutes to complete the installation. It has done the job all year. I use it to tow a small sports trailer and my recumbent bike rack.
The hitch fit fairly easy onto my '98 CRV. Had to hammer the spare wheel well in a little bit to create enought clearance to mount it to the tow hook. The wiring harness is "plug-and-play" with the existing connector, located behind the speaker. I like the fact that e-trailer has the installation instruction video posted the products.
Very good value. Product was as advertised. Arrived quickly. Parts from different manufacturers didn't quite fit together because of plastic coating but eTrailer customer service correctly identified the problem and after a few minuted filing i was a happy camper. The fitment problem was a matter of thousanths of an inch, but with sticky vinyl to vinyl, it was enough to initially prevent the hitch entering the receiver.
The trailer hitch I ordered fit my 1999 Honda CRV with very minor modifications which were described in the instructions. The installation was extremely easy and was completed in less than 30 minutes. The quality and functionality of the hitch is excellent, it will be used to trailer kayaks. I am very satisfied with this product.
Replaced an old hitch that had rusted out. etrailer hitch installed easily and is has a superior mount. Great product at a very good price.
The hitch was very easy to install in less than an hour. We used this to mount a swivel platform to make it easier for older dogs to load into the car. The fitment and finish is great and I would recommend etrailer to anyone who needs great products at a great price!
Product arrived incredibly fast and was in perfect shape. Install time is accurate, though can be faster if you drop the muffler out of the way and use a good half-round file. Do a pre-mount line up for the hitch before fishing the bolt into the frame, the directions show two different holes for the mounting location, but only one is correct. You will enlarge the hole you will be mounting the hitch to.
After that minor snafu, the hitch went on with no problems at all and looks great under the car.
Great product, great value, great service, great experience. Can't beat that.
This tow assembly and the associated wiring harness were amazingly easy to install on my 1998 Honda CRV. For me the unit and the wiring took less than an hour to install. Watch the video Etrailer put together to understand the process.
Hitch was just as advertised. There wasn't a video specifically for my 1997 Honda CRV, but watching one for another brand installed on a 2000 gave me enough of an idea to figure it out. Lowering the exhaust and filing open the holes was easier than I thought. I had my son help me hold the hitch while I secured the bolts. It was really pretty easy. I recommend watching a video for the electronics too, but I didn't need to take off as much trim as they recommend. Really simple and secure all the way around. 45 minutes, not including watching the Youtube videos, which again, are well worth your time.
