The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # 24790 is rated for a maximum towing weight of 2,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs. The tongue weight is the downward force on the hitch. This hitch receiver is a confirmed fit for 1997-2001 Honda CR-V models only and weighs about 18 lbs.
For a ball mount, I recommend the Draw-Tite # 3593 for this hitch receiver. Then you can use a 1-7/8 inch ball like # 19256 or a 2 inch ball like # 19258.
For your wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118336 which is a fit for 1997-2006 CR-V models. I've attached a video to assist.
