Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement handle for a Cam-door lock from Polar Hardware. This handle replaces an old or damaged handle on your Cam-door lock for your trailer. This is made from a steel construction with a protective zinc finish, so it's protected from rust and corrosion. On the end it's going to feature a nice rubber grip for easy handling. Makes it very easy to operate the handle. The handle does rotate in either direction, so it's a nice design to it. And here on the end, it is riveted to the mount for ultimate security. Now, the mount is the portion that gets welded to the upright pipe.
If we take a measurement of that piece, we can see that that's going to give us a measurement going this direction of an inch and a half. And then going this direction, that's going to be 1-3/4 of an inch. So really nice design, nice, strong, durable construction. The overall length of the unit, if we take a measurement from edge to edge, that's going to give us a measurement of right around 14 inches, again that's overall length. Taking a measure of the center of the rivet, to the end oft he handle, that's going to be about 12-5/8ths of an inch. And then from the very front of that mount to the end of the handle, we're looking at a measurement of about 12-1/4 inches.
The width of the handle, measuring that steel piece there, right here in the center, it's going to be an inch and a quarter. And the thickness, the handle's made from quarter-inch thick steel. That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement handle for a Cam-door lock from Fuller Hardware.

Zinc-plated steel construction provides durability and corrosion resistance.high quality nice looking handles, my brackets and hinge posts were still good, so I just ground off the rivets and used stainless steel carriage bolts with lock nuts, you can't tighten them or handles will not move, but with the locking nuts I don't think they are going anywhere. not sure if there is a right and left side handle but I ordered the same part#, so the right side handle writing was upside down.
Ordered 2 cam handles of the same part number. Received 2 cam handles baring stickers showing the same part number. The dimensions of each were quite different; like the difference between standard duty versus heavy duty. Working with etrailer to get 2 of the same. So far they have been quick to contact, but we'll see if there is follow-thru.

Product is still great after a year. No rust or discoloration.
Exact replacement for what rusted off. Just weld in place.

My old handle was eaten up by Mag Chloride because the rubber was loose. This one is still tight.

Great product and fast shipping! Exactly what I needed for my trailer , no idea what brand my latch system is but this replacement handle is a perfect replacement.
the handle came with a rivet already installed, which means I will either need to wield in on or drill out the rivet and use a bolt or use another rivet. I plan on drilling out the old broken handle and was hoping the new one came with a bolt or another rivet to install the handle. for just a broken handle I did not to have to wield it on. the handle and the latch is in great shape and the time of delivery was great.

Was remarkably impressed to receive my purchase so fast. Being in a more remote area of the state, it came quickly. What surprised me even more was the quality of the products. In light of the price, I was half expecting some cheap thin grade metal replicas, not the case. These handles are better than the ones that were originally on the trailer.....Major cudos to you guys at etrailer.com
