I wish I could give you an exact power draw for the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 but after spending 2 hours on hold with them they only said it is near 0 draw. Since it sounds like your Primus is connected directly to the battery and not a ignition powered switch you might consider adding a Relay # BDW42035 so the power going to the controller will switch off when the ignition is switched off.

While we have not had a 2023 Toyota BZ4X in our shop to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C92NR, it does not appear it would prevent the operation of the foot activated liftgate sensor. Since the main cross tube sits behind the bumper cover and is hidden the 2" opening portion would be the only portion of the receiver blocking the sensor. That's totally fine, it's just nice to have the ability to use a weight distribution hitch because if you ever do trade up or tow a trailer to move some stuff around and you get in the 3,500-4,000lb range these start being pretty useful to help with sag and keeping the trailer tracking straight.
