I recommend changing over to the Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426 which will require new TimberLine Towers # Y33TR on your 2019 Toyota 4Runner. This will give you 60" long crossbars.
Rola no longer makes crossbars for vehicles as they have transferred over to only carrying cargo racks and ladder rack systems.
The Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07208 will provide you with 8 lock cylinders that are keyed alike. You can use 4 for securing your crossbars the other 4 can be... view full answer...
Yes, the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR will connect to your 2021 Toyota 4Runner with the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # RED49FR. Then you can use the Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-002 to mount the control knob in place of one of the blank covers.
While the Redarc Liberty is a great controller if you plan to trailer off-road you should consider the Redarc Elite # RED44FR as it has both the proportional mode which works best on the streets and the user controlled mode which... view full answer...
I took a look at some photos of the crossbars on your 2019 Toyota 4Runner, and you weren't kidding when you said there wasn't much clearance. Thankfully, there is exactly one J-style kayak carrier that lack of clearance won't be a problem for, and that's called the Kuat V2, is available in either black or gray:
- Black: Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # KU53VR
- Gray: Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # KU33VR
The reason this will work with such limited clearance... view full answer...
Hi Joe,
When aluminum and steel are in contact with each other and are introduced to water galvanic corrosion can occur. That being said, your going to have both steel and aluminum on a boat trailer no matter what and the amount of time you'd have the trailer sitting in the water to load/unload the boat wouldn't be enough to cause a lot of damage. Over time you'll start to see corrosion, but some paint can easily buy you more time.

Good question Larry, and the Trailer Valet MV PRO Trailer Dolly # TV96FR can handle a lot of tongue weight - 1,200 lbs to be exact. That's going to be enough for the large majority of trailers out there. view full answer...
I have a couple options for you as the Bulldog Winch Off-Road Winch Mounting Plate for Toyota Tacoma Gen III # BDW23001 is only confirmed to fit the Gen 3 Tacoma and they do not have a separate plate for your 2019 Toyota 4Runner.
First you can have a custom mounting plate created using the Universal Mounting Plate # BDW20291. This will need to be completed at a fabrication facility near you.
Or you can use the Bulldog Winch Receiver Mount Kit # BDW20155 with a front mount receiver.... view full answer...
To install the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs # TH849000 on your 2021 Toyota 4Runner I recommend the 53" Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 with the Evo Feet # TH710401.
The Thule One-Key System # TH450800 will provide you with 8 lock cylinders of which 4 can be used with the rapid feet, 2 with the kayak carrier and the other 2 can be kept as spares or used with additional Thule accessories so that you can have one key that works for all the locks. view full answer...
Sounds like you want an access door that you could put up near the front of the trailer. The largest option we have is the Multi Purpose Access Door part # SE58VR which is 14 inches wide by 24 inches tall. This might work for you but you might also be looking for something larger than that. view full answer...
The Thule Portage Canoe Carriers # TH819 are only going to add 5/8" to the height of your crossbars where the canoe is going to sit on the crossbars. view full answer...
Hey Jeff, so there's a really good chance the Trunx cargo box part # TRX44FR will fit the OEM crossbars of your 2017 Toyota 4Runner but the box wasn't test fit on vehicles like some boxes are so you'll have to take a couple quick measurements. Make sure the bars are less than 3-3/4 inches wide and also between 22 and 30 inches apart measured on center and you'll be good.
The box comes pre-setup for a 22 inch crossbar spread but if you're willing to drill it can fit up to 30 inches. This... view full answer...
To install a front trailer hitch receiver on your 1997 Toyota 4-Runner you are going to have to have one fabricated using a part like our Weld On Receiver # E17. You will want to visit a local fabrication shop near you to discuss over your options. view full answer...
Hey Tom, I would recommend the Curt front hitch part # C31076 because we have the best luck with Curt hitches from a consistent quality standpoint and this hitch has tow hooks on the front as opposed to the Draw Tite part # 65074 that also fits your 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road. view full answer...
To use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier # TH898 on your 2021 Toyota 4Runner I recommend the Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710401 with either the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars in Black # TH711420 or Silver # TH711400. These crossbars are 53" long allowing you to have the minimum 4" overhang needed for the Hullavator.
Since you need the 4" overhang for the crossbars you will not be able to use the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack.

Hey there Christian, so unfortunately the answer is no, the AeroBlade Edge crossbars do not fit the Edge Raised Rail Feet for Thule Edge Crossbars # TH69SC.
Thule did not make the older AeroBlade cross-compatible with their latest WingBar feet (and vice-versa), which I know is disappointing - I certainly wouldn't want to have to get an all-new set up if I could just use my old parts. And as for your other question the # TH69SC is not the same as the older foot for the AeroBlade Edge. So... view full answer...

The Malone FoldAway-5 Kayak, Canoe, and SUP Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # MAL38FR will fit your 2024 Toyota 4Runner Limited OEM roof rack crossbars, but I do recommend replacing them with the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG215 because your OEM crossbars sit really close to your roof so there is a possibility that the bottom part of the mounting hardware can make contact with your roof and scratch it.
With the aftermarket roof rack it will sit higher than... view full answer...
Hey Matt. I was looking over some pictures and specs for these old town discovery solo 119 canoes. It looks pretty neat, kind of a canoe/kayak hybrid. To answer your question, yes, I do think the Yakima Kayak Roof Rack # Y04083-04082 will work very well for carrying this kind of canoe.
The front saddles and rollers can be adjusted to fit the shape and virtually any kayak or canoe under 80 lbs. From what I could find online, these old town discovery solo 119 canoes are 11'9" long and 32.5"... view full answer...

According to Cruisemaster, the DO35 can be used with load distribution hitches (WDH) providing the coupling movement is not obstructed and the maximum downward load of 350kg is not exceeded. Looking at their instructions you will have to get an adapter that is designed for a Hayman Reese Classic weight distribution hitch which comes from Australia. If you wanted to use a different brand like the Equal-i-zer # EQ37041ET you looked at you will have to reach out to Cruisemaster to see it is... view full answer...

The item # MA52PR won't work with Jetstream crossbars but I have a set that will. It is the Maxtrax Flat Rack Mount for MKII and Xtreme Recovery Boards item # MA42PR. The T-bolts will fit the channels on top of your Yakima JetStream Crossbars.
It won't work with a 32" crossbar spread so you'll need to adjust your crossbars slightly. The mounting holes on the Maxtrax Recovery Boards like item # MA97FV are 10.62" apart and 35" apart. view full answer...
