There is adhesive tape backing on the WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors # WT82766 that is to be removed BEFORE you install them. The installation process is not complicated and the linked instructions outline the required steps. In a nutshell, you'll lower the windows about halfway, peel off the tape backing and position the front then rear ends of the deflectors. You'll then tuck the rest of the deflector in working from front to back.

I've looked through the installation instructions for all the hitches we offer for the 2016 GMC Canyon/Chevy Colorado. All the installation involve removing the rear impact structure (cross member). The purpose of the RoadMaster Transmitter for Even Brake Systems # RM-9430 is to send signals to the monitor in the cab so you can know if everything is working properly or not, but it also communicates with the system as you apply the brakes for proper functionality.
