With your wires not matching when connecting the Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM11141144 on your 2022 GMC Canyon you have a couple options. The first option is to call your local GMC dealer service department with your VIN to have them verify the wiring installed from the factory to ensure you connect everything to the correct wiring. The other option is to use a Test Light # PTW2993 to verify every function to ensure they match what the wire should power. This will also allow you to confirm if the other wire you have is a power wire or ground wire.
