Does this track fit in/or installs over the ditch channel/track on the roof of the 2017 GMC Canyon?

The Thule Top Track Roof Mount System, 42" Long # THTP42 does not install inside the channels of your 2017 GMC Canyon. You will instead punch holes directly through the roof to install the tracks on your '17 Canyon.
