How To Install the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller On a 2016 GMC Canyon

My 2016 Canyon has a factory installed tow package. Is there a plug under the dash or will I need to splice wires to install the TK63VR?

In order to install a brake controller like the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller part # TK63VR on a 2016 GMC Canyon you will need to splice into wires as there is no plug under the dash for you to use. That said, the wires are already run for you so this will be super easy to do with just some butt connectors, part # DW05744-5. In order to do this you will need the Brake Control Plug-In Harness part # 20127.
