Some spray lubricant and a pry bar are almost always needed to pull the rubber piece off of the exhaust hanger. Yes, you will need to drill 4 holes in the trunk pan. YOu will use a 1/8 inch drill bit to start the holes then enlarge them using a 1/2 inch bit. I would use some sort of silicone sealant to seal the holes as well.
