Wiring Power To Backup Camera On A 2008 Cadillac DTS
Question:
I am trying to install a back-up camera and monitor on my 2008 Cadillac DTS. I cannot determine which of the leads to the tail light module belongs to the back-up lights. There are 6 wires: light green, darker green, white on yellow, yellow, black, and purple. Can anyone tell me which ones operate the back-up lights?

Different vehicle manufacturers use different wire colors for vehicle wiring. You will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the functions of the vehicles wires to determine which one carries reverse lights.
To hookup power to a backup camera, you can splice the power wire directly into the wire that feeds into the reverse light on your taillights.
