Because the ETBC7 is not vehicle-specific and can be used on many different vehicles, instructions are not provided.
I would be happy to provide an overview of the installation. The ETBC7 includes an adapter that converts your 4-pin trailer connector to a 7-way. The adapter features a connector that will plug into the 4-pin. The 4 remaining wires on the adapter attach as follows: the white wire grounds to the vehicle, the black wire attaches to the positive battery terminal via the included 40 amp inline circuit breaker, the blue wire runs under the vehicle to the engine compartment and through the firewall to attach to the blue output wire on the brake controller, and the purple wire is tapped into the reverse lights on the tow vehicle to power the reverse lights on the trailer, if needed.
The controller itself would mount under the dash within easy reach of the driver, typically to the right of the steering column. The controller has four wires exiting the rear, they attach as follows: the red wire attaches to the brake stoplight switch located at the top of the brake pedal. The stoplight switch can have several wires exiting it, you will need a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to probe each wire until you locate the wire that shows voltage only when the brake pedal is pressed. Once located, tap the red wire from the controller into this circuit. The blue wire attaches to the wire ran up from the rear of the vehicle, the black wire runs to the positive battery terminal via either the 20- or 30-amp circuit breaker included in the kit (consult brake controller instructions to find which is appropriate) and the white wire connects to the negative battery terminal.
I will provide you with a link to our Brake Controller Installation Guide, as well as links to our Brake Controller Information Page that includes a generalized wiring diagram.
I will also include a link to installation video that shows a brake controller being installed on a 2008 Dodge Caravan.
Although this is a completely different vehicle, the install on your vehicle will be similar.
