Specs:

  • Inlets: 1/2" NPT
  • Fittings: 1/2" NPT x 3/8" hose barb
  • Overall dimensions: 11" wide x 3-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep

Note: The Derale Insta-dapt radiator adapter fits most vehicles with 5/16" transmission lines, but not all. In some cases, additional fittings or alteration of the OEM lines or hoses may be required for installation.

One of the more popular cooling systems available, the radiator-style, plate-and-fin heat exchanger provides increased surface area so that fluids can spread out along the finned chambers to cool faster. In addition to the increased surface area, this cooler also features turbulator technology, whereby fluids are agitated continuously, not only to facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure.

  • Transmission Cooler Kit for a 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon
I would be happy to help you find a new transmission cooler for your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon. I recommend the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets - Class I -Extra Efficient item # D13611. You will want to remove the current one and install this one in place of it as you probably won't have enough room to install both. I have linked a picture of what this cooler looks like installed. The picture is on a full-size SUV so it looks small. The transmission cooler...

Yes, the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets # D13612 does fit your 2009 Ford Escape and will work well. This has more cooling capacity than the # D13611 so it would be a better option!

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendations for a 2011 Toyota Corolla
Both the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13611 and the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit , # D13501, would be a great choice for your 2011 Toyota Corolla. The general rule is that transmission fluid cannot be cooled too much, so using the largest cooler that will fit is a good idea, especially if towing. The only reason not to add the largest cooler possible, would be if you live in very cold climates where temperatures are below 0 degrees often...

Installing a transmission cooler is not very difficult and I have every confidence that you will be able to install the Derale Transmission Cooler, # D13611, on your 2007 Chrysler Town and Country. Make sure you have the necessary tools. Your mechanical skills should serve you well for this installation. I can give you some installation tips. Transmission coolers are designed to be mounted flush against either the radiator or the AC condenser core. For maximum cooling ability, the heat...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2002 Ford Explorer
The best way to pick out the best transmission cooler is to measure the area in front of your radiator to see what size cooler would fit and pick the biggest size available. The Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13611 is a pretty small cooler, but if you have limited space it would help and it does come with an installation kit. If you can fit it I would go with a larger one like the Derale Transmission Cooler # D13503. Check out the install video I attached for...

  • Will a Transmission Cooler Affect Engine Temperature Towing With A 2016 Grand Caravan
Transmission coolers should not impair the engine's ability to stay cool when operating. One point to note is that these coolers are much smaller than the radiator and allow plenty of air flow to pass both around and through to the engine. For transmission coolers, the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13611 is a fine choice. It's a radiator style design and the fluid is continually agitated to help dissipate heat. Include is a video review for more information.

  • Which Transmission Cooler is Recommended for a 2005 Honda Pilot
Mounting a trans cooler in front of everything else, radiator and AC condenser, will yield the most cooling ability. The size of the heat exchanger is the factor that weighs most heavily on the cooling ability followed by location and construction/design. The best way to select a cooler is by considering the load you will be towing and the area you will be towing in. The cooler needed to aid in towing a single jet ski in a cool or moderate climate would not be nearly as big as the cooler...

The ideal place to mount a transmission cooler for maximum cooling efficiency is behind the grill of your 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis but in front of the radiator. • Which Line Is Transmission Fluid Return Line on 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe
Typically the return line of the transmission is the one at the bottom of the cooler. You can do a small test to determine which line is the return line. First, start engine while engine is cold. Put the transmission in drive for no more than 10 seconds Stop engine Feel the both of the lines, and whichever one is cooler is the return line that is taking the fluid back to the transmission. • Can Transmission Cooler be Installed on a Vehicle with Sealed Transmission
Sealed transmissions make installing a transmission cooler a bit more interesting since there isn't an easy way to add or check fluid. There may not be a dipstick on your transmission, but there is drain and fill plug. You are going to have to use a lube pump to get the proper amount of fluid in the vehicle so honestly your best option is going to be to have a transmission shop do the install since they will have the equipment needed. Although the Derale # D13611 transmission cooler would work well with your Saturn Vue, we typically recommend using the largest cooler that will fit behind the grille of your vehicle.
