    • Insta-dapt radiator adapter
    • All necessary mounting hardware

Specs:

  • Mounting dimensions: 4" tall x 11-5/8" wide
  • 1-Year warranty

Note: The Derale Insta-dapt radiator adapter fits most vehicles with 5/16" transmission lines, but not all. In some cases, additional fittings or alteration of the OEM lines or hoses may be required for installation.

With a fan-mounted heat exchanger unit, you can be sure that there will always be optimum airflow for your engine oil cooler no matter where your cooler is mounted or what sort of environment you are traveling through. Couple that with the highly efficient, plate-fin core - wherein finned chambers provide increased surface area, allowing superior heat transfer with minimum pressure drop - and you have a truly effective heat-exchange system.

This system is ideal for late-model, electronic overdrive transmissions in which ensuring proper cooling and pressure maintenance is of the utmost importance.

The fan is nice, the brass compression barbed fittings did not work. They leaked from both threads. I paid for fancy with a quickness 2 day shipping, took 5 days. I’m just glad I wasn’t too much in a hurry to cool my dads transmission for his road trip.

Everything was included to install the cooler and instruction sheet is useful. Hardest issue is where to mount. No leaks so far. Should help trans temps while towing.

  • Which Derale Remote Transmission Cooler for 2010 Chevy Silverado 4.8 Liter D13950 or D13960
Both the Derale transmission coolers you mentioned would work great installed on your 2010 Chevy Silverado with a 4.8 liter V8. The part # D13960 is the more efficient style of cooler as it has a stacked plate whereas the # D13950 is a plate and fin cooler which is still really effective but not quite as effective as the stacked plate. Now both of these are easily more powerful than you'd need to get the job done so if you go with either you'll have very cool transmission fluid that will...

  • Reducing Transmission Heat While Towing With a 2012 GMC Sierra
Absolutely! The Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan, -6 AN Inlets - Class V part # D13950 is the perfect add on to bring those transmission temperatures down for you. It will install and work in conjunction with your original cooler and will have no adverse effects on the original one. This is simply going to help in addition to the original making for a cooler running system. This one is the one I would go with as the fan is going to do a better job at cooling than...

  • How to Select Best Transmission Cooler for 2012 Chevy Silverado
The best transmission cooler for your 2012 Chevy Silverado is going to be the largest one that fits. A unit with a fan will give your truck optimum cooling power, but you do need to measure to ensure that you have enough room for this type of cooler to fit because a unit with a fan will take up more room. For example, the Derale 16-Pass Electra-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler # D15900 measures 15-3/4" wide x 11-1/2 " tall x 5" deep so you would need to find that amount of space under...

  • Transmission Cooler with Fan Recommendation for a 2003 Chevy Silverado
When you install the Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D13950 that you referenced you can either replace your current cooler or you can install this one after the factory cooler so that you get the cooling power of both. The most common and recommended method would be to put this cooler down stream of your factory cooler so that is what I would recommend for you. All you would need is the cooler and the fitting part # D13035 and you would be good to go. The #...

As long as you have the available space in the area where you want to install the cooler, you can certainly use the # D13950 Atomic Cool Transmission Cooler on your 2012 Yukon. Keeping the transmission cool when you're moving in stop-and-go traffic is exactly what this particular cooler is designed for. The # D13035 you already have is the recommended fitting. You'll want to install the cooler in the return line heading back to the transmission, whether that line's coming from the radiator...

The Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit # D13950 is actually designed to mount away from the front of the vehicle it is being installed on, which in your case is a 2012 Jeep Liberty. Apart from that there are no specific spots this kit is meant to be mounted as it is a more universal application; it can be mounted anywhere else that you have space to fit its 12-3/4" wide x 9-3/8" tall x 4-5/16" deep dimensions. If you wanted a cooler that is designed to mount in front of...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for Jeep Grand Cherokee that Does Low Speed Off-Roading
I would highly recommend a transmission cooler for your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Since you will be doing low-speed off-roading I would recommend a kit that comes with a fan so that you can ensure the cooler gets air-flow like the Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler # D13950. This comes with everything needed to install including lines and fittings but to make installing the cooler easier you would want the radiator adapter part # D13034 to prevent you from having to go through...

The Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D13950 that you referenced should work well for you. It will provide you with excellent airflow in traffic and would not impede airflow at highway speeds. • Recommended Supplementary Transmission Cooler for 2004 Dodge Dakota
Transmission fluid temperature can rise quickly when towing, especially in warmer weather and when towing on uphill grades which naturally mean slower speeds and reduced air flow to your Dakota's cooling system. Supplementary coolers are a wise addition to a towing vehicle, and so too is keeping your transmission fluid fresh as you have done. Standard passive coolers like Derale # D13503 (along with hose fitting kit # D13030) can install in front of your AC condenser to give you more heat-radiating...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder 4X4 SE and 6K Trailer
For a trailer weighing 6,000 pounds I recommend going with a stacked-plate cooler because they will be the most efficient and will provide the best cooling compared to the other cooler options. For a kit you can use # D13403. For the best cooling you can get a cooler that comes with its own fan like # D13950. This will provide the optimum cooling no matter where the unit is mounted. I have included a link to our FAQ article on transmission coolers for you.

  • Can a Remote Transmission Cooler be Used in Place of a Factory Cooler on a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
Basically, an aftermarket transmission cooler is used as a supplemental system and not a primary unit. But, when a leak like what you are describing does happen, the options are to bypass the factory cooler and plug the radiator so it does not continue to leak, or replace the radiator. You could use the Derale Remote Cooler, # D13950, that you have selected. You would need to plug the transmission line inlet and outlet, so the OEM trans cooler could fill with fluid without leaking out....

  • Can a Transmission Cooler Bypass the Factory Cooler on a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder
A lot of people with Nissan vehicles are looking to bypass the factory cooler contained in the radiator like on your 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. The coolers we carry are designed to supplement the factory cooler although some people have used them to replace the factory cooler. • Will a Remote Transmission Cooler Fit a 2005 Ford F-250 with 5.4 Liter
The great thing about the Derale remote transmission cooler # D13950 is that you can mount it where ever you have space. Since it has its own fan it does not have to be placed out in front of the motor. • Recommended Remote Mounted Transmission Cooler for 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser with Supercharged Engine
Rather than a passive cooler like the # D13225, in order to get effective supplemental cooling for your transmission you'll really need a remote mount cooler with a fan. The # D13225 cooler you'd looked at would get very little air flow if mounted on your frame rail, and given the fact that you've obviously made some pretty serious upgrades to your engine you'll want something that's more effective as a passive cooler would be nearly useless. The ideal operating temperature for transmission fluid should remain between 160 and 200 degrees. If your transmission fluid was reaching 195 degrees when towing your fifth wheel trailer, it would be a good idea to either upgrade your factory added cooler or add an additional transmission cooler because this temperature could increase if you are towing on in hot weather or through hills where the engine and transmission will be working harder than on flat ground. A cooler with fan like the Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler # D13950 is typically a better option if you are only towing in areas where you constantly deal with stop and go traffic.
