Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Built-In Offset for Dual Applications
This tire-and-wheel assembly is designed to be used in dual-wheel setups. The 5.35" offset allows the wheel to be positioned closer to the trailer frame when used as the inner wheel of the setup. And if you use this assembly as the outer tire and wheel, the offset ensures that it will sit closer to the outside of your trailer. This hub-piloted wheel centers on the hub, not the lugs, and it requires the use of flange nuts (sold separately) for installation.
Durable Acrylic Enamel Finish
This wheel has a durable acrylic enamel finish on the front. The finish is applied after the wheel goes through an environmentally safe zinc phosphate pre-treatment and is coated with an e-coat primer layer. Compared to powder coat finishes, this finish resists getting chipped from flying road debris or scraped from hitting a curb for a longer period of time. These acrylic enamel wheels performed for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray tests.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
In an ideal world, tire-and-wheel assemblies would be perfectly round and even throughout. Unfortunately tires and wheels have imperfections that often cause vibrations, resulting in a rough ride and wear and tear on the assemblies, as well as on the rest of your trailer's running gear. Taskmaster helps to solve this problem by match mounting and balancing their assemblies so they're ready to roll when they reach your door.
To do this, Taskmaster uses a laser-guided machine to locate the heavy and light spots of each assembly. They then align the assembly so that lightest part of the tire is near the heaviest part of the wheel. The assembly is then rotated at high speeds to pinpoint the optimal place to apply weights to further balance the tire.
Don't delay your adventures by having to take your trailer to the shop for new tires. Start rolling as soon as possible with easy-to-install, fully balanced tire-and-wheel assemblies from Taskmaster.
The cords on this radial ply tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff here at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster Provider ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a load range E. And this is mounted on this 16-inch Vesper silver dual steel trailer wheel with the eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly's ideal for dually trailers. What's unique on this assembly is that the tire is match mounted and balanced to the wheel for ride comfort and durability. And match mounting of tires and wheels basically is a process in which the tire's installation position on the wheel itself is specifically selected to minimize final force of imbalance.
And the method to match mounting is to align the tire's lightest spot with the wheel's heaviest spot to eliminate most of the radio force that could cause tire and suspension wear. And then after that they do the final balancing which is done by applying weights to specific spots on the front and the back of the wheel to eliminate any chance of uneven wear vibration. And just to show you what we're talking about if you look on the front here, there's your weights right here. And if we spin it around, you'll be able to see your weight right down there. So that makes this whole assembly all balanced.
Now this is a dual steel wheel, has the four hand handholds on it, which are sturdy and corrosion resistant, does use a silver acrylic enamel finished to resist chipping and other damage better than your powder coat finishes. And what's unique about this, the finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and then it covers an e-coat primer layer. This will give you excellent corrosion resistance, has a salt spray rating more than a thousand hours. Few specs on the wheel itself, the diameter on the wheel 16 inches. The width on just the wheel by itself is six inches wide.
The bolt pattern on this wheel is an eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case eight. It's pretty easy 'cause the lug holes you can see are directly across from each other. So you just pick any one hole, let's say this one and then you'll measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this one, it'll measure 6 1/2 inches so it's an eight lug 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
This wheel does use the flange nut size of 5/8 by 18. The weight capacity on just the wheels, 3,860 pounds. And the pilot hole diameter, which is this large hole here in the center of the wheel goes over the hub on your trailer is 4.77 inches. And we mentioned this is a dual wheel. So you can see it does have a high positive or negative offset depending if you use it for an inner or an outer wheel. That offset is gonna be a plus or minus 5.35 inches. The tire that's mounted on this is a radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords for nice long life. It's great for highway use. Other nice thing is they use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation. And this tire is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire has the sturdy side wall so they can handle heavy loads and it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use to any other vehicles. The tire's size which will be stamped on the sidewalks. ST for Special Trailer, 235/80R16, R means it's a radial tire, section width 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 30.8 inches. This tire is a load range E, which means it's a 10-ply rated tire. So the maximum load capacity when used in a dual tire situation like this one is gonna be 3080 pounds at 80 psi. And the tire does now come with a speed rating and they stamp that on the side wall with a letter designation. And where that's at is right after the size. You'll see two numbers for the load index. And then the letter M, speed rating M designates its an 81 mile per hour speed rating. Does come with a two-year platinum plus warranty, which includes emergency tire change service and other benefits. And this whole assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specification and it will exceed your Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Taskmaster Provider ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a low range E mounted on this 16-inch Vesper silver dual steel trailer wheel with the eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

Great company to do business with! Friendly & professional quick order processing, thx
Just got the tires and rims. They look good but what year were this tires mfg. DOT 10U. Does that mean they were made in 2010? I sure hope not!!
I replaced 6 year old 14' cargo trailer wheels and tires with Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" White Vesper Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LRD
Item # TA46MR. I had such good luck with the Provider brand tires that I wanted to stick with that brand. etrailer as always have great customer support that I feel compelled to use them again!
Was very happy with the tire and wheel package at first.
Unfortunately the wheels started to rust a few months after the purchase and wasn’t even the winter yet.
When I called about this I was told they wouldn’t replace the wheels.
So the finish on the wheels failed within a few months
Excellent trailer wheel and tire! Exactly like the ones on the trailer.
Delivered literally in 1 day of ordering. This is exactly what I needed. I’m a procrastinator so I needed a spare tire last minute and they DELIVERED! I will definitely be purchasing all 4 new tires soon.
Etrailer has been my supplier for hitches, snow chains and now wheels with pre-mounted tires. Excellent service never a problem.
Lori made ordering a breeze! The wheel and tire package was delivered on time and quality was as expected
I'm more giving the shopping experience 5 stars then the tires as I just received them so I can't speak to quality or reliability just yet but they look great and are balanced which is a huge plus should wear a lot better then what I had before the customer service and shopping experience is amazing they do such a great job of following up and making sure your happy and got everything I will always bring my business to etrailer
Great wheel and tire combo. I ordered these and they got here quickly without any issues. They came already balanced so one less thing to worry about. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
Wheels and tires as advertised. Prompt service and delivery, thank you.
Perfect fit, Perfect Service. Perfect communication. Couldn't ask for a better company. Ordered spare tire the exact wheel and tire was in stock and shipped to order right away. Knew exactly the transit complete visibility and ETA. Tire was boxed up and was delivered with no damages.
Great communication! Product was exactly as ordered and packaged perfect. Arrived today, as promised. Already mounted on my new trailer and looks great!
Good quality and price. Matches the last one I bought from etrailer. Extremely fast shipping. Will use etrailer again in the future.
The tires and rims were a very good value and they work wonderful!
Product is fine, over a month past original estimated ship date is too much. I asked for a small credit or discount in return, and I was denied.
I was very disappointed to see that only the outside of my wheel was painted white. When mounted on my motorcycle trailer, both sides of the wheel are clearly visible. Unbelievable that the miniscule savings afforded by skipping this step is considered justified. I am now stuck, of course, because the delay to exchange or return it would be unacceptable.
If this is indicative of the quality I should expect from etrailer, this will be my last order.
Amazing service from start to finish. Simple ordering process, lightning fast shipping and a phenomenal product. I couldn’t be more pleased with etrailer.
Great upgrade to my gooseneck with 7k Dexter axles. Come mounted AND balanced. Will buy these exact ones again from etrailer!
Delivery was super fast, the tire and wheel are good quality and fit my utility trailer perfectly. Good value for a reasonable price.
Mounted tires, just what I was looking for for my 1966 Roadrunner camper trailer. Etrailer was more than fantastic, receiving my order 9/18 and having it on my doorstep across the country on 9/21. That’s amazing. Tires were aired up, balanced, and ready to mount. Thank you!
Tires and rims look great. Fast delivery
These have performed well for me and show no signs of wear or problems
