Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Corrosion-Resistant Finish
The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.
The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
In an ideal world, tire-and-wheel assemblies would be perfectly round and even throughout. Unfortunately tires and wheels have imperfections that often cause vibrations, resulting in a rough ride and wear and tear on the assemblies, as well as on the rest of your trailer's running gear. Taskmaster helps to solve this problem by match mounting and balancing their assemblies so they're ready to roll when they reach your door.
To do this, Taskmaster uses a laser-guided machine to locate the heavy and light spots of each assembly. They then align the assembly so that lightest part of the tire is near the heaviest part of the wheel. The assembly is then rotated at high speeds to pinpoint the optimal place to apply weights to further balance the tire.
Don't delay your adventures by having to take your trailer to the shop for new tires. Start rolling as soon as possible with easy-to-install, fully balanced tire-and-wheel assemblies from Taskmaster.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Jeff: Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Provider ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range G on this 16" Vesper White Modular Wheel. This also has an 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern. Now this time we have some of this ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and campers. It's a nice heavy-duty steered sturdy steel wheel. It has a modular design.
And when we say modular design, that's one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. Now this wheel has a white acrylic enamel finished, or this chipping, the damage, it's better than the powder coat finishes. The finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and then it covers an e-coat primer layer, gives you excellent corrosion resistance with a salt spray rating of more than 1000 hours. And this wheel does use the ITR technology, which is Improved Torque Retention. This is designed to help keep the wheels securely in place on your trailer. It does use the uncoated stud holes, which are beveled off for better clamp force retention.
And the tire on this is a radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords for a nice long life. It's great for highway use and they do use nylon tread-firming belt overlays around the tire to help prevent tread separation. It does use the tread depth bars like you'll see in passenger car tires that give you a quick visual indication of how the tread is wearing. And this tire is bake tested to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
It is an ST design, which means Special Trailer tire design. And so a couple of the strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. And it is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on any other vehicles. It does come with a two year Platinum Plus warranty, which includes emergency tire change service and other benefits. And the assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications, and it exceeds the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Few specs on this for the wheel, the diameter is 16", the width on just the wheel is six inches wide, bolt pattern on this is a 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern.
And it does use a wheel lug size of a 0.5" x 20" or 9/16" x 18". The weight capacity on the wheel is 4,460 pounds, and the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, goes over the hub on your trailer is 4.88". The tire's size, which is stamped on the tire ST for Special Trailer, 235/80R16.The R means that it's a Radial design tire. Section width on it is 9.3". Overall diameter from the bottom to the very top when it's inflated is 30.8". And this is a low tire, is a load range G which means it's a 14 ply rated tire. So it does have a maximum load capacity of 4,080 pounds at 110 PSI. And the last thing I do want to mention is all the trailer tires now are coming through with speed ratings on them. And where the speed rating is, is that so, speed rating is always designated by a letter designation. So if you go right through or after the size we just went through, at the very end of it, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter M. Letter M or speed rating M will mean that this tire has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. But that should do it for the review on the provider ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range G on a 16" Vesper White Modular Wheel with the 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern.

Just got the tires and rims. They look good but what year were this tires mfg. DOT 10U. Does that mean they were made in 2010? I sure hope not!!
I replaced 6 year old 14' cargo trailer wheels and tires with Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" White Vesper Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LRD
Item # TA46MR. I had such good luck with the Provider brand tires that I wanted to stick with that brand. etrailer as always have great customer support that I feel compelled to use them again!
Was very happy with the tire and wheel package at first.
Unfortunately the wheels started to rust a few months after the purchase and wasn’t even the winter yet.
When I called about this I was told they wouldn’t replace the wheels.
So the finish on the wheels failed within a few months
Excellent trailer wheel and tire! Exactly like the ones on the trailer.
Delivered literally in 1 day of ordering. This is exactly what I needed. I’m a procrastinator so I needed a spare tire last minute and they DELIVERED! I will definitely be purchasing all 4 new tires soon.

Etrailer has been my supplier for hitches, snow chains and now wheels with pre-mounted tires. Excellent service never a problem.
I'm more giving the shopping experience 5 stars then the tires as I just received them so I can't speak to quality or reliability just yet but they look great and are balanced which is a huge plus should wear a lot better then what I had before the customer service and shopping experience is amazing they do such a great job of following up and making sure your happy and got everything I will always bring my business to etrailer

Good quality and price. Matches the last one I bought from etrailer. Extremely fast shipping. Will use etrailer again in the future.
Product is fine, over a month past original estimated ship date is too much. I asked for a small credit or discount in return, and I was denied.
