Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Corrosion-Resistant Finish
The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.
The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
In an ideal world, tire-and-wheel assemblies would be perfectly round and even throughout. Unfortunately tires and wheels have imperfections that often cause vibrations, resulting in a rough ride and wear and tear on the assemblies, as well as on the rest of your trailer's running gear. Taskmaster helps to solve this problem by match mounting and balancing their assemblies so they're ready to roll when they reach your door.
To do this, Taskmaster uses a laser-guided machine to locate the heavy and light spots of each assembly. They then align the assembly so that lightest part of the tire is near the heaviest part of the wheel. The assembly is then rotated at high speeds to pinpoint the optimal place to apply weights to further balance the tire.
Don't delay your adventures by having to take your trailer to the shop for new tires. Start rolling as soon as possible with easy-to-install, fully balanced tire-and-wheel assemblies from Taskmaster.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Diamondback ST 235/80 R16 load range E radial trailer tire with this 16 inch Vesper white spoke wheel with an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. This tire and wheel assembly is going to be ideal for your RVs, campers, and trailers. And this special trailer tire has sturdy sidewall so that it can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. Now this assembly features the tire match mounted and balance to the wheel for ride comfort and durability.
The match mounting of tires and wheels is a process in which the tire installation position on the wheel is specifically selected to help minimize the final force of imbalance. The method of match mounting involves aligning the tire's lightest spot with the wheel's heaviest spot to eliminate most of the radial force that can cause tire and suspension wear. Then a final balance is done by applying weights to a specific spot on the wheel to eliminate any chance of uneven wear or vibration. This radial tire is constructed with double steel belts for a long life. As you no doubt know, radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway and the nylon tread firming belt overlays help prevent tread separation.
The tread wear indicator makes it easy to see the tread depth and as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together. And as we have stamped here on our tire this is an ST 235/80 R16 and the section width is 9.25 inches. And this is a load range E tire meaning that it has a 10 ply rating and the maximum load is 3,520 pounds at 80 psi. And this tire has a speed rating of N indicating a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour. Now this Vesper steel wheel with this spoke design is sturdy and corrosion resistant.
A white acrylic enamel finish resists chipping and other damage better than your powder coat finishes. And this finish is actually applied after a zinc phosphate pretreatment and it covers an eco primer layer so it has excellent corrosion resistance with a salt spray rating of more than 1,000 hours. The stud holes on this steel wheel are beveled to ensure that the wheel stays tight against your trailer hub. And this is also going to eliminate the need to constantly retorque your lug nuts. Now the dimensions of our wheel measuring bead seat to bead seat, the diameter is 16 inches and the width of this wheel is six inches.
And as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together our bolt pattern is eight on six and a half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here you're simply gonna measure from the center of one bolt hole to the bolt hole directly across from it. So measure that center to center. The capacity of our wheel is 3,860 pounds. The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20 or nine sixteenths of an inch by 18. The center cap is sold separately. However, if you decide to pick one up you do just need to make sure that if it's the pilot diameter of 5.12 inches. Now this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications and the tire exceeds the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards specifications. And one final note, this does include a two year Platinum Plus warranty that includes emergency tire chain service and other benefits. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Quality tire and wheel looks good went on great
Great trailer wheel and tire and got here fast when I needed it. I like how this tire/wheel is already balanced.
Always a little hesitant when you order tires online. This was one of the easiest purchases I have ever made. The product was as described and shipping was FAST. I would use them again.
Tire and wheel arrived in good condition, as ordered. I like that the wheel & tire are already balanced. The weights are visible. All that's left is to bolt it on to my trailer.
The wheel/tire came balanced. Very quick shipping arrived before documented delivery date.
