Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Durable Acrylic Enamel Finish
This wheel has a durable acrylic enamel finish on the front. The finish is applied after the wheel goes through an environmentally safe zinc phosphate pre-treatment and is coated with an e-coat primer layer. Compared to powder coat finishes, this finish resists getting chipped from flying road debris or scraped from hitting a curb for a longer period of time. These acrylic enamel wheels performed for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray tests.
The stud holes on this steel wheel are beveled to ensure that the wheel stays tight against your trailer hub. This also eliminates the need to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Taskmaster radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Taskmaster radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, this deep, rugged tread channels water away so that the tire makes better contact with the road. This greatly improves traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. Because of this, the tire is specifically designed for off-roading on uneven terrain such as mud, sand, and grass, although it performs well on highways and other paved roads as well.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com Today I'm gonna take a look at this Taskmaster ST235/75 R15 radial off-road Trailer Tire in a load range D, mounted on this 15 inch Vesper White spoke steel wheel with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly's ideal for trailers off-roading on mud or other uneven terrain and it can also be used on highways and other paved roads. I did wanna show you the tread on this. It is a nice deep, rugged tread. This will help channel mud and water away from underneath the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy or icy conditions. And this does have a very deep tread depth.
We measured it's about 18 32nds of an inch. Also what's nice is if you look on the shoulder area it has this raised rubber design on the shoulder and that's to protect that area from any damage. Basically that shoulder area of the tire is the spot where most heat buildup would occur, so that's the area that's more susceptible to damage. And what they've done is they've built up rubber on that to protect that and also give it a nice rugged look on the outside side wall. Now this is a radial-ply tire.
It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords, for a nice long life. Does use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And this is an ST tire which stands for Special Trailer Tire. Uses the sturdy side wall so they can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on any other vehicles.
Now the wheel, it is a nice sturdy steel wheel, you can see has the standard spoke design to the wheel. That does use a wide acrylic enamel finish on it to resist chipping and other damage better than your powder coat finishes. And what's nice is this finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pretreatment and it covers an e-coat primer layer. Does give you excellent corrosion resistance. Has a salt spray rating of more than a thousand hours.
This does come with a two year Platinum Plus warranty which includes emergency tire change service and other benefits. And this assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation Standards and exceeds your federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Now if you notice this wheel does not include a center cap. We do sell those separately if you want one. They are usually listed on this product page as a related product, you just need to make sure the center cap you use has a diameter of 4.25 inches and that's the measurement of this large pilot hole here on the wheel that goes over the hub on your trailer. Your center cap will go through that wheel to attach. Few specs on this, the diameter on the wheel, it's 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is 6 inches wide. The bolt pattern, this is a 6 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that, it's pretty easy on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, in this case, 6, 'cause the holes are directly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick any hole, let's say this one, measure from the center of this hole to the center of the hole right across from it. On this it'll measure 5 1/2 inches. So it's a 6 lug, 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use the wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,830 pounds. And the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, is ST, for special trailer 235/75 R 15. The designates that it is a radial tire, section width is 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top one, it's inflated, it's 28.9. This is a low range D tire, means it's an 8-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,910 pounds at 65 psi. And the last thing I do wanna mention is most all your new trailer tires are coming through with speed ratings on 'em, and they are labeled. It is listed on the side wall with a letter designation for the speed rating and where that's at, right after the size, you see two numbers for the load index and then the letter N. The speed rating N will mean this has an 87-mile-per hour speed rating. But that should do it for the review on the Taskmaster ST235/75 R15 radial off-road trailer tire in a load range D on the 15 inch Vesper White spoke steel wheel with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern..
