Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Today we're going to review part number AM20446DX. This is the Dextar 15 inch by 5 inch white, minimod steel trailer wheel with the 5 x 5 inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel is a sturdy steel construction. It has a white powder coat finish over a neat coat primer for an excellent corrosion resistance in the front and the back of the wheel. This a modular design. When they say modular design they mean the round holes.
That is that design of mod, or the minimod they also call it. This a high quality wheel. It meets the department of transportation specifications. This wheel is made in the USA. A few specs on this. This diameter of this wheel is 15 inches in diameter, and that's measured inside the inside.
So if we took a tape measure, and we put it on inside the inside you can see it's going to be at 15 inches for diameter. The width is the same way, inside the inside where the tire beads, we'll see within that is 5 inches, so 15 x 5. Now the bolt pattern is a 5 on 5 inch bolt pattern. If you go to measure a bolt pattern on a wheel that's a odd number of lugs, what you want to do is pick any hole, let's pick this one, and you're going to measure from that hole directly across to either one of these holes right across from it. What you want to do is measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge.
So in this one if we put a tape measure on that, center of the starting hole to the furthest edge you can see it's 5 inches, so 5 on 5 inch bolt pattern. This does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20 and the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel. This goes over the hub on your trailer. We put a tape measure on that, it's going to be 3.19 inches. The weight capacity on this wheel is 2150 pounds. But that should do it, for the review on part number AM20446DX.

I wanted a rim with higher load rating . This is the only one I could find that could do the job.

The parts were exactly what I needed.
Nice rims. Powder coating looks pretty rigid like it might last. Thicker gauge steel for the rims than Taskmaster. Worth the money. Should last for years.
These 15" trailer rims with the 5 on 5" bolt pattern (Chevrolet style, vs the standard Ford style rims on most trailers) Would have liked to find them in Galvanized, but NOBODY has them in Galvanized. Plan to paint with Coal Tar epoxy for Rust protection (live on the coast near salt water- everything rusts!). Standard Truck rims have the wrong offset, and don't fit my trailer for replacements and spares. These were available, Price was as reasonable, and Shipping was fast. Expect to use them soon.

I want to thank etrailer for selling not just a well made wheel at a great price, but also for selling a wheel made in the U.S.A.!!!!! I needed this wheel to replace an old & damaged trailer wheel and the information on the etrailer website allowed me to easily and correctly determine the right hole pattern. I also received the wheel quickly with only standard UPS shipping.
I needed a spare wheel for my trailer, and this one is perfect. It's an exact match to what is on the trailer, maybe even heavier construction than the other wheels.
These wheels only have about 100 miles on them but I like the looks of them and the service I received from etrailer was outstanding. They are on my favorites list.

Wrong item ordered, can Not use these 5 rims, they are still boxed. Was shipped same day ordered before I could cancel order. Arrived 2 days early, left on porch. Can't ship back for $[XX]shipping fees which customer service said I would have to pay. $[XX] on my credit card wasted.

As usual the order was received quickly and in good condition, as have other orders. It is an obviously quality wheel in an uncommon pattern, which makes it even better.
